I'm sorry, I wasn't very clear I suppose. I'm really wondering if meningitis can make the symptoms of Asperger's worse. Or vice versa.

Oh heavens, CONSTANTLY. It's all I do. I relate to all of this, especially Bird In Flight. I will realize that I've been going on too long and I probably need to stop and nobody wants to hear this and yada yada, but it will take a week for that message to wind my mouth down. Unless I really like the...

I just found out that I have Asperger's. I had spinal meningitis last year, and I noticed it did one hell of a number on my emotions, mental stability, and social skills. Granted, all of these were previously impaired, I just didn't have a name for it at the time. So does anyone know how one may aff...

While my clinical diagnosis is pending, I am 100% certain that I have been a suffering, undiagnosed Aspie my entire life. I just discovered all of this, so I have not been able to adjust attempted relationships/friendships accordingly in the past. I have always been so shy, so scared, and so despera...

Yes!! I've always loved something about grocery shopping. I feel the significance in reading stories at bedtime with my daughter, and it's almost an out-of-body kind of joy. Writing checks, for some reason, I love. Not the money aspect, just the writing part. Turning lights off at night, locking doo...

I CRAVE smells! Lol But mine aren't new smells - new car smell for example gives me a headache. I love old smells, worn things. Old, lived-in leather, records, books, clothes... Also when I like a person I love their smell to an extent I can't describe. The weird thing is, I find it gets better towa...

I'm just learning that I have it this week, but have learned so much in the last few days it's surreal. Growing up, nobody could stand to be around me for very long, and, being very sensitive to criticism and wanting to be around people (but not knowing how), I set out to change it. For several year...

So I'm new, haven't even finished my profile. I will, don't worry. Anyway, I'm 29, female, and I haven't been officially diagnosed but I know now that I'm an Aspie. I've always known I was different but couldn't figure out what was wrong with me. I've recently gotten to know an Aspie and it made som...
