I don't get influenced by ads. They sound stupid to me (especially if it shows things that have nothing to do with the product it is advertising). I can pick up appeal to emotion in them.

I actually don't see a lot of people pretending to be autistic on Tumblr to seem like a special snowflake. And I'm not sure if claiming to know better than a trained professional is a sign of a poser. I have often heard autistics who are officially diagnosed talk about how professionals tend to misu...

Stupid medical model of disability.

I agree the term should be changed. It isn't that I'm offended by the term, but that I think the term is stigmatizing, which can lead to people hurting others because of a perceived personality disorder or not wanting to associate with a person with traits of a personality disorder. I don't think p...

Right now, I am trying to find help for mental health issues, and I am also trying to cope the best I can in the meantime. However, people often say that what I am doing is inconveniencing them. Like, what I do to cope with sensory issues, stimming, and having anxiety that I can't really control. Th...

The thing about depression is that it can make it seem like life has always sucked. This was what depression did to me. However, I can now look back and see the good from the past. It may be difficult to see the good in the present, but I advise that if you encounter a good moment, no matter how sma...

I have been forced to socialize. People keep on trying to explain to me that I need to do it because they don't want me to be totally lost when I go to college. Also, they for some reason think I want to avoid all social interaction. That is not true; if it is truly necessary, I would do it if I'm d...

I don't get why so many people say that conformity makes life easier. In my experience, it makes life harder. It puts stress on me to conform to social norms when the logical part of the brain tells me that doing so isn't a good idea.

Might be because most people are not logical thinkers.
