Thank you for bringing that to my attention! I prefer physical copies, it's easier for me to hold my focus. But I will have to compare those online, then.

I understand the criteria of both the DSM IV-TR and V, but failed to find a copy of the ICD-10 for my reading pleasure so far. Do you personally have a preference for one manual over the other? I'm well aware how quite a few people have been upset about some changes made to personality and pervasive...

This is a bit TMI, but I found this on AskanAutistic's site and have not been able to find much about it. This forum spoke about sex quite a bit, but I had the impression that was more about the intimate/social/romantic/ side of it, rather then the sensory aspect and especially the stimulus. So some...

I've been a vegan for years and a vegetarian for a large portion of my life before that. If you are concerned about malnutrition, you need to seriously educate yourself. All nutritional studies and observations are out there for free these days, you just need to be patient and shape your own opinion...

I have atrophical Hashimoto thyreodits (chronic inflammation of the thyroid) which is an auto immune disease which results in my thyroid attacking itself, shrinking and thus not being able to produce hormones at a normal rate. This of course results in hypothyroidism as well. Thus I will be dependen...

Sorry my reply is so late! Skateboarding is such a passion of mine and yet I always was terrible at it. But it's fun and so I learned to tune out the comments of other kids and teens. You can tip me over easily, I have piss poor balance. But skateboarding teaches you how to become stable, trust me. ...

Every adult human being needs more than 1200 calories to function properly and stay sane. So to read of 500 calories and below is absolutely insane. Please stop your starvation diet immediately, no matter how unhappy you are with your body! You will never lose weight eating essentially nothing. You ...

Thank you. She is essentially a stranger and because I know very well what she is like, I always felt like I needed to protect myself from her. It's just distressing how her remarks made me feel, I'll need a few days to bounce back.

My mom had a misdiagnosed heart attack a week ago and nearly died from the complications. Her surgeon luckily was very quickwitted and successfully performed the emergency surgery. But everybody kept reminding us that, normally, she could have not even made it to the ER. Something weird happened. I ...

I find it oddly satisfying. Not only does seeing images of our universe make me and my problems temporarily feel small, but it's soooo soothing to look at. It makes me very curious, but not in a nervous, hectic way. All the bodies, all the colors I can never chase and the textures I can never touch....

Yeah, but the benefit there is that people can distance themselves properly. It's a little intimidating (for lack of better word) when someone could show up at your doorstep any time and you just don't want to deal with that person anymore.

Thank you for your insight. Sure! It's from the Odyssey (in it's original text), when Odysseus tricks Polyphemus, the cyclops who would eat one man after another, into drinking undiluted wine. He promised to grant Odysseus one gift, should he tell him his name. The signature reads "Cyclops, you...

It is just like you said, I have not had a similiar experience since then and I'm not sure I'd let myself have it. Which is irrelevant, because there sim... |

I think I need to get something off my chest finally. Instead of telling you about the friendship, I would rather tell you what happened after it. I used to have a best friend and loved her a lot. She would be the only person I would share intimate details of my life with. We were neither romantic n...
