Same for me, I mainly can't stand the sound. Even the tiniest touch to it, and it makes me feel almost sick. I have to be in a different room when polystyrene packaging is taken out of a box.

This happened to me two nights ago. I became completely nonverbal, only my Mum is the sort of person who forces you to talk, whilt completely ignoring any emotions you show. I end up saying one word too quiet to hear, then the same again, then completely screaming it, before going back into my littl...

Here we go again. --you get a reputation as a conversation killer because when you join in a group conversation you say something that stops everyone else in their tracks and pretty much dumbfounds them. Happens on occasion. --you will only ever sit in one side of the car because having the seatbelt...

You regularly say something that someone finds offensive when you were just trying to be nice. True. But the only person I really talk to at school just takes it with a smile on her face. You have to rewrite a text message 8 times because what you want to say won’t fit into 160 ch...

Honestly, it just seemed like another fact of life to me. Yeah, people dies. But people die from Cancer or from car crashes or whatever else you can think of too. It happens. Honestly my reaction was about the same.
But then I'm not exactly American... |

I have no problems. Nor do my brothers. Mum can't have ANY dairy 'cause of her Ulccerative Colitis, but that's not anything linked to Autism. I also have colitis and have 2 Aspie sons. I have talked to other women who have colitis and have autistic children, as well. I have one profoundly autistic ...

I don't like it. I HATE saying sorry. Just because of the emotion behind it. Even if I see I'm wrong. It's like... You have to show a part of yourself that is very personal and private to yourself. Then at the same time there's so much else going on. -Focusing on not letting too much emotion show th...

I think the stair case thing is the best one or a butterfly. Because butteflies have to cacoon themselves to grow. A butterfly is the symbol of the Deaf Foundation because they're deaf. We need something along the lines of Autism makes people diferent but still the same. Hey, good slogan that would...

I do so whenever excited or in bare foot.
ALL the time in bare foot.
I've only been woken up by cramps once, but sometimes used to have them before I fall asleep. |

I've been around autism all my life. My twin. My older brother. Severely and profoundly autistic respectively. Attention has been on them and it makes everyday life very difernt from the average. I've already been reccomended for a DX but we didn't need the bother at time and seeing my parents distr...
