This very high IQ character, a Ph. D. level criminal profiler, knows everything about everything, and will not hesitate to tell his fellow TV profilers all about it. The older characters sometimes cut him off (the character, played by the genetically gifted Matthew Grey Gubler, is supposed to be in ...

The only reason I bring up selling anything here is that doing so would help publicise Asperger's--T-shirts, a comic, etc. I do not get selling anything to anyone, but I love your work here, and would love to see it on a T-shirt I could wear.

And I've been fat. Am still fat enough to grab a stomach roll and the back/side flab that wasn't there a year ago and pinch it. I don't know where I stand on the empathy scale--I seem to have an excess of emotion, most of it anxiety and rage, but I often have difficulty moving beyond sympathy for al...

Hiya-- I'm a Yankee woman, 45 Y/O. Unless the DMV or an employer demands it of me, I will not have my picture taken. Some folks--my age--find this strange, especially in this day/age. See, although there is no way to validate what I'm about to say here, I was asked if I was a model often enough for ...

I'm pretty new here, and of middle age. I have a long-standing dx of Borderline P D, w/ major depression in some degree of remission, alcohol abuse in remission, benzo addiction in long taper, and anxieties. For just about all of my life, others have found me objectionably weird. I am hyperlexic/non...

Thanks, all who responded to my misophonia post. I had an idea that it might in some way be related to ASDs. I'm finding that it gets worse with age and having fewer psychotropics on board. My nervous system is increasingly naked to the world, and I do not like it one bit. Since Western civilisation...

Two years ago, I told an audiologist about my loathing for and rage upon hearing audible chewing of anything, as well as slurping, smacking, spitting, and having to watch anyone else do any of this. I am a tech-challenged person, almost fifty years old, and to cope with any of this--unsuccessfully t...

The intense social anxiety, which further murders social skills and activates an intense, crippling fear and loathing of rejection, because that's what tends to happen to me, even though I am middle-aged.
That's what's incompatible with a sober, satisfying kind of life. |

:? :? I haven't been formally diagnosed with Asperger's yet, and may never be, courtesy of its removal from the DSM V, but I do have a long-standing borderline personality diagnosis and non-language-related learning disorder as well. Those two diagnoses contribute to a couple of others--major depres...

Thanks again. :) Since the majority of those of you who welcomed me to WP didn't find my mixed borderline/Asperger's presentation that odd, I've been thinking about their comorbidity--in anyone--and it is beginning to make sense. I was a hyperverbal toddler/young girl, and my parents' response to th...

Greetings. I've been diagnosed with borderline personality D/O and non-verbal learning disorder/hyperlexia, which shares a lot of traits w/ Asperger's. Recently, an acquaintence 'diagnosed' me w/ Asperger's, saying that I was a lot like his brother, who has it. I'm a 49-year-old woman w/ no mathemat...

Greetings, all-- New here. Definitely feel as though I've been living on the wrong planet. Diagnosed w/ borderline PD at 23, and the diagnosis seemed to explain everything then. Years have passed; I've failed at just about everything I've tried to do; caught a whopping case of benzodiazepine/alcohol...
