This has been building over a period of time, and I have been very uncomfortable wearing masks, being around people in masks, and getting worse. It was pointed out to me, today that I have not been out of the house in over two months. I used to like going out and about. I liked taking pictures of th...

Climate Change? First if you believe in that, the problem will take care of it's self in a few decades. We will run out of fossil fuels and the problem will be solved for us. We will be forced to find a newer cheap source of energy. Or we will start living in caves again. I remember hearing about gl...

I don't think Kubrik figured it out. Asimov, Heinlein, and Clarke all had that method of "artificial gravity" in their books in the early 50's. Back to the original question, I would have to agree with 1401. 2 aspies ) The mission continues until the two aspies have to work together, then... Both de...

What is it about sociat makes it so damned exhausting? ^ I takes so much energy to focus on the conversation and translate what they are talking about. I have to pick and choose my words carefully specific and vague at the same time. It is as though they are speaking a foreign language, I am consta...

I go to sleep or wake up thinking to my self "Holy $#!T I am going to die!". I assume that is what you mean by "Existential Dread". I am 62, and I have had this "Existential Dread" for a number of years. Why? I spent my early years just trying to fit in, and not knowing why I didn't fit in. Eventual...

@ Spiderpig, Oh how I wish there was a computer that understood how close they are to being wiped from existence. I do believe they understand perfectly well how frustrating they are to us. Which is why they do what they do. Computer languages. I learned how to program using C++. I like Pascal, Java...

Kink or no, my mind wanders. I have to concentrate so hard on not wandering, I STILL loose track of whats going on and end up "Oh to heck with it".

Bringing a partner into that? No way. Asexuality is working for me.

I am very sensitive to smells, and most perfumes - especially the ones found in most stores - are like being struck in the face by a 2X4. Tentations Perfume by Paloma Picasso, used in very small amounts is my favorite.

How about a tribe? This would allow us to live in the country of our choosing. We are indigenous after all. Our history closely fits many aboriginal people. As a tribe, we might have more power collectively than as many individuals. My house and yard is my "tribal land", but as a tribe, we could hav...

I am "double" jointed in my hands and shoulders, I never really thought about it being a trait of Autism. I have a hard enough time just trying to function like a "normal" human being. One thing I have to do is think about my movements. Walking, running, what ever I am doing. I have to think about w...

I play a lot of WOW and Eve Online. WOW has changed considerably since it first came out. I am not pleased with the over-simplification of the characters and the Mario Brothers - like boss fight sequences. I know they are trying to keep the subscription numbers as high as possible, but their churn m...

I was working on a problem the other day that involved a series of random letters, symbols, and numbers. After working it for a while, I noticed some of the sequences stuck in my head, while others did not. It got me to thinking about why. Why did some sequences stick and others did not? Of course, ...

My wife died a few weeks ago. The doctors said she lost her battle with pancreatic cancer. Neither of us knew she even had cancer. I work with a Psychologist and a life coach, and neither of them have answers for me. So I ask you. The been there done that, bought the t-shirt people. How do you loose...
