I expect that is just because Autism and ADHD are fashionable at the moment. I wonder if they would pay for other conditions. For example, some years back I had surgery on my nose to help my breathing. Would they have paid for that? It has been more useful than my Aspergers diagnosis ever has been.

Well, there's me voting all these years and never knowing it was such a problem. Having said that, here in England, anyone can apply for a postal vote. I've been voting by post for a number of years because it was inconvenient once, and I've carried on doing it since. I think last time I voted in pe...

Never heard of it. Is it "polish", as in "nail polish". Or is it "Polish" as in "a citizen of the nation of Poland"? Polish as in Poland. I believe the name came about because Polish Notation was invented by a Polish Bloke, then Hewlett Packard flipped it aro...

I spend most days stuck in this room with no daylight and no one to talk to. If that is not lonely enough, I also live with my Mother (whom I despise), and (as I've mentioned in other threads) is retired now. That means she is here all day every day too, and that means even getting a simple cup of c...

It was first mentioned [shouted] to me when I was being forcibly dragged out of school and into a doctors office. Consequently I was highly offended and very upset.

I had heard of Aspergers and Autism before. Didn't know a lot about them, but I had read about them before.

I just thought I'd update this topic...

Its now late 2023 which means I've been off the anti-depressants for over two years now.

Still feeling absolutely horrendous, but at least there's no crappy healthcare system to deal with.

Sometimes on forums people just don't have an answer. Then there's the issue that after a post has sat there for a number of weeks or months, people may wish to contribute, but don't want to resurrect an old thread. I don't think I have ever posted on generic medical sites, but I have used more spec...

That's actually quite a good short film, but I'm not sure how its supposed to be relatable.

No.

I'm pretty sure my year group was the first one to have a prom at my school. This was back in 2007 and proms were quite a new thing here back then.

It was going to cost £30, and I really didn't want to spend £30 to be stuck for a whole evening with a load of people who I don't like.

First, I'm sorry this is your reality right now. I know saying it's difficult is an understatement. <snip> Thanks for all the suggestions. Camping isn't illegal here (as such), but a lot of land is privately owned, so the owner can kick you off if they don't want you there. They can't sue you thoug...

Pop up tent and a sleeping bag. That's what you need for a bit of comfort. https://www.argos.co.uk/product/9656527?clickPR=plp:1:3 A Pop-Up tent sounds like a good idea. Unfortunately the Argos link is blocked in the library because "online shopping". This is like being at school again :D.

Well, after a couple of years of umming and arring, my Mother and I had another row on Tuesday and I said enough is enough, and left. I grabbed some valuables (which I delivered to my Dad for safekeeping), some clothes, and some money and went. As such, I don't have access to my computer, so I'm pos...

So, we've had decorators in today. Normally I get through the day by taking excessive amounts of sleeping pills, but even with enough to make me dizzy, I can't sleep with the noise. I think they'll be done today but I expect someone will come to help my Mother move all the furniture back. To add to ...

Well, I've made it a year... somehow. I'm currently sat here in a state of high anxiety, wanting to smash things out of frustration from being stuck here. I should probably go to the gym and take it out on some weights, but I'm so knackered that I can't manage it. I have a meeting to go to on Sunday...
