I have few friends but all of them are strong relationships and most who know me, love me. I attribute this to my acting. I appear polite and thoughtful but I'm just hiding my natural self. Though I have lost a couple of past friends due to my social issues.

I attribute cannabis with being a substance that saved my life as a youth. It was very effective in a pinch and there were many in my life. I wouldn't care to imagine how I would have turned out or what I have done otherwise. If its a crutch, it is one that works. Far too much injustice has been hea...

I think I can tolerate some pain. I've had minor surgery a couple times and clowned around and the Docs commented how well I took the pain. I think I just didn't need to show it. I once jammed my thumb on my left hand during a fall. I was laying on the floor for 45 minutes afterward laughing.

The visualizing thing is not really what I was aiming at but rather the "desire/need/want" and if I have it then I will feel mentally recharged with the sensation of novelty and of "completeness". It's not an issue, other than occasional monetary waste. But it does make me feel like a junkie of sort...

So it is 6 days until I see my first psychologist for assessment. Not certain what this entails. When I set up the appointment I wanted to be clear that I was seeking screening for an autism spectrum disorder and inquired whether they had a experience and knowledge about testing adults. This was aff...

Ok so I have this thing where I will kind of fixate on an item, sometimes for a few years until I get it. Seems like I have a part of my mind always thinking about it, whatever it may be. My mind visualizes it, sort of like a 3D model and I sort of play with the image in my mind, spinning it around,...

Hello folks, I'm two weeks away from first visit with an autism specialist and would like some input. I have a question about something I experience in social situations that varies somewhat depending on the circumstance. It feels as if my brain lags, when spoken to or when someone speaks near me, a...

Hello folks, new here. Hopefully this is the place for this sort of question. If not, I apologize. Recently I have been analyzing my life in respect to medical issues and in doing so I have come to suspect that I am an adult on the autism spectrum. At first I looked at the stated symptoms and agreed...
