it is such a shame that many people in the west don't take animation seriously as a medium - and see it as something befitting of children and little more. Yes, I absolutely agree. While there have been a few western animated shows that have actually made an effort to tell a compelling story with d...

I'm actually one of those people who does get eye strain from overly bright/saturated colors. Don't get me wrong, I think they are very pretty and I wish I could enjoy them but it gives me a headache to look at them.

Orange tabby cats are almost always male, for the same reason that calicoes are almost always female. While black cats are considered "unlucky" in the US, in Japan they are actually considered good luck. :) This is a really morbid/sad fact, but animal shelters in the US don't usually let p...

I woke up with influenza today... I should've seen it coming because I ran a mild fever a couple of days ago and I've been feeling fatigued and sleeping much more than usual. I had a feeling I was going to catch it because it's been running rampant in my part of the US, so I'm not surprised.

All true, I suppose I wasn't even thinking of physical media. You could after all watch it all on a dedicated streaming platform for a fraction of the price and get a lot more value. I've tried online anime streaming services but I always feel so guilty about subscribing to them to the point of hav...

I feel sympathetic towards OS people, because I am very much in love with various anime/video game characters. I could be wrong but I think that loving fictional characters is kind of similar to loving an object because the world looks at both kinds of relationships as one-sided, the world says &quo...

I tend to enjoy seeing sexualized versions of my favorite characters. The only times I dislike it are when it's depicting a kink that I don't like, when it's poorly drawn, and/or when it comes across as humorous, whether intentionally or not.

Why would you buy anime on Steam? It seems to be the worst platform by far, with extremely limited platform support. I'd get annoyed not being able to watch things I supposedly 'own' on my TV or mobile. 3 reasons: 1) Anime on steam costs a fraction of the price it does on DVD or BluRay. For example...
