| I was, of course, quite manic when I wrote all that stuff up there. And now I'm not. It was an interesting two months, to say the least. People I hardly knew literally came up to me and hugged me, telling me what a great person I was. Everywhere I went, people were just happy to see me. I felt a lot... |

| You can also learn to emulate body language and subtler social signs. It might feel a bit fake, but you're doing it to help other people understand you, not to help yourself. |

| Speaking as an autistic person who at one point lacked confidence and self-acceptance: If my crush had kissed me on the cheek in those days, it would have terrified me. I might just have fled the country altogether. That's just one experience, but still. He might be really scared and/or confused. I ... |

Thank you, and the same to you. Now, I still haven't found anywhere in the real world where I can say that I 'belong'. But I know now that it's a real place, and it's out there somewhere. And I'll find it in time. |

| But there are a few autistic individuals who are able to appear outwardly competent, rational and successful, even much more so than many of the board members at Autism Speaks. Probably it's a pipe dream, but I really want someone to do something. I want to do something myself, but I'm not sure what... |

| So, how do we bring this behemoth of an organization to its knees? How do we destroy it and remove its credibility? I'm 100% serious, this needs to happen. |

| I ,too, would like to know what an 'autism teacher' is. I'd also like to know why a self-professed 'autism teacher' is looking for newbie advice on something relating to his own professional interests. edit: Ok, I checked your profile. You appear to be some kind of salesman and/or quack who teaches ... |

| I have lived a lifetime with severe social anxiety and depression, so I can probably relate to most of what you have to say. Shoot me a PM if you want to talk. By the way... Your therapist suggested visiting Wrong Planet? This almost sounds like a therapist who actually cares about and knows what he... |

| That's the ethical thing to do. Because yes, otherwise OnPorpoise is right, he'll lead people on, hurt them, and waste their time. Which is a terrible thing to do even if it's unintentional. That makes sense. Don't trick people into thinking you want more from a relationship than you really do. Sor... |

| You might have to improve on your self confidence before you can become a better conversationalist. Sure, there are countless "tricks" that can help you lead a relatively normal conversation, but in the end most people can sense nervousness and lack of confidence in another individual. |

8/10
I incorrectly guessed "liar" on two of the truth tellers because I'm a pretty paranoid guy. I've come a long way when it comes to reading expressions and body language, but I still have quite a way to go. |

It's a learned skill which can be improved, most definitely.
Now, why do you think you're a bad conversationalist?
- Inability to relate to other people?
- Indifference to what other people have to say?
- Self esteem / Confidence issues?
- Something else? |

| No one can give you a yes or no answer to this one. It all depends on context. That said, you should probably wait with the poem until you have more common ground with her, and feel that you have connected to her in a more meaningful way. |

| Don't date again. You might end up giving some poor woman the illusion that you'll be there for her emotionally. Some people are just meant to live alone. That is an extremely cruel thing to say to another human being. Do NOT listen to this person. I got angry just reading this comment, and had I b... |
