Asperger's and possibly High functioning Autism is not proven by Science to be genetic. As there are no medical tests, brain scans and no specific gene detected to prove one has ASD or not, it's hard to correctly diagnose someone. I know a guy who had it caused by trauma by his mother, his parents w...

I always felt Aspergers originated in Scandinavia and is a Nordic thing... I don't know why. When I went to Norway I felt at home, quite culture, smart people, serious and get to the point etc. And Germans are known to be hard working (Like aspies) and maybe cold (not like it's a bad thing) and are ...

When I was 11 I was misdiagnosed with Aspergers by a psychologist. It only took 2 meetings and slapped me with aspergers. My parents literally forced me to go there, just cause I wasn't doing good at school, I did have friends and stuff. Now I am 14 and receiving help I don't want and don't need and...

If your record said the diagnosis was incorrect, it would be because it is, and you do not have Asperger's. If this is the case, then you have no reason to mention the fact that you were diagnosed with it to your employers; you don't have it, so you don't need accommodation for it. Have you talked ...

My case of Asperger's is so mild I'm pretty much neurotypical. Either that or I just don't have it. When I was 11 I went through a sad time, My parents were fighting, my mom would often leave and rent a room in a hotel for a week to avoid my dad, I went through a lot of trauma. Because of this I bec...
