Oh, and if they are breaking into your stuff, enable two-factor authentication on anything that supports it (like Gmail) if you haven't already. ... And get an adblocker and noscript for your browser. Two-factor authentication has absolutely crippled my ability to log in so many times. What a f**ki...

Gaming communities are almost exclusively where I get my friends. It's the only kind of community where I can effectively find people who share most of my interests. Gamers love fiction and art and often producing fiction and art, and they are a statistically intelligent community, allowing me to fi...

Today I sent an e-mail to Twitch. I am autistic. "I started streaming several days ago and about six times or so I got about 5-20 users in my channel almost at once-- harrassing me, spamming, giving away my private info, and generally communicating about hacking into my stuff. Yesterday my rout...

Of course, deep down we all have a lot in common, and we can work through our differences to show that many are manifestations of similar (if not identical) feelings/thoughts/impulses/worldviews. But I don't know if any one of us is in a position to reliably see past those superficial, outward diff...

I do think that the diversity of the spectrum of overstated. Autistic people are not as diverse as people say. There are many commonalities amongst people on the spectrum. Thanks for understanding. I want to make it very, very clear that I do not believe that all autistic people have the same intel...

What you're saying is that you alone are in a position to evaluate who counts as autistic and who doesn't, no matter what the diagnosis by people who've studied autism for years, written books and dissertations, and worked with autistic people during the entirety of their careers. While their under...

That's what I did, and it works. The page is still lying, as I just said above your post.

Then the account page lied. It says:

"Date of Birth [Text Area] mm/dd/yyyy"

I can't imagine anyone putting in the right information based on what that page currently says.

If you expect all autistic individuals to express themselves or behave similarly to yourself, then you're doing a great disservice. There's as much diversity within the autistic community as in neurotypical people. There are autistic people of color, autistic people with and without different disab...

I will never know for sure if a person is autistic. I can and often after some time suspect some people are and some people are not. If I went by your attitude and assumed everybody I interact with is not autistic there would no reason to join Wrong Planet. Never mind every member, I would have ass...

Hiya. I love the new Wrong Planet site, but I want to report some bugs. First, I updated the formatting on my age in my profile settings page, but the age listed on my displayed profile is way off. I put that I was born on 06/22/1988, which makes me 26 years old. But the listed age on display is 45!...

I'm 26 years old and I am autistic. I don't say "Asperger's" because I don't believe in using the term. I tend to believe that various instances of autism don't differ so highly between each other that giving high-functioning autism its own label is helpful to the understanding of autism i...

It seems to run just fine with me. It's a lovely site. The colors work pretty well together in my opinion.

And of course, one of the first things I find is your Legend of Zelda entry.

Lol thanks. Also, the Zelda entry was the second one I made. How'd you find it first?

Anyway, I felt I needed the cross-hatch. Certain elements such as borders really benefit from it. Even if people aren't readily aware of the existence of a texture, the mind still is effected by it. And web design, like all meaningful art (including things like logos and packaging), is all about psy...

No, I don't know anyone by that name. However, there was a time when I almost changed my name to Miles "Tails" Prower. It was a stupid idea and I'm more mature now. I had a court date to do it but my ride gave me the middle finger at the last minute. It was the only time I almost changed my name. Wh...
