To the OP -- from your follow up post about the promotional position you've been offered -- from everything you say, it sounds like you've been handling your current duties well and you might just be perfectly fine with the new responsibilities too. You seem to be having a more positive experience ...

In the post apocalypse anarchy will reign and it will be a 'every man for himself' situation. Being alone will give aspies an edge over NT's. So how you will you defend you shelter, supplies, etc. Even with just two people you would have someone to watch your back. Not to mention what would happen ...

I am 30 years old and I have a terrible work history with big job gaps and little to no work experience or skills. I have a lot of skills but there are no jobs available that fit my skills. From April 2002 - January 2003 I was a janitor/stocker for a hardware store. March 2005 - April 2006 I worked ...

I'd rather be homeless than work in another customer service ever again. They are a waste of time, no benefits, abusive managment, low wage, irregular schedules and many other reasons. That being said, it is OK to work in customer service when you're young (17-25) but when you get older it's not wor...

To make my point again, there is a clear difference between 'aspies' and 'NTs', otherwise aspies wouldn't be decriminated against. Society/NT's says we are inferior.

Aspies are tired of the discrimination and started labelling non-aspies 'NT'.

How could an aspie seriously survive in a post-apocalyptic world when we barely are able to cope in full-fledged civilization? I think the answer is pretty obvious, post-apocalyptic-romanticism put aside. Most aspies struggle to get a job and 'fit in' with society. In the apocalypse, no one will ev...

The problem is individuals on the autism spectrum tend to be discriminated against. This is problem a that has always existed in any society or culture. This discrimination that occurs to individuals on the autism spectrum is one of the reasons why individuals use the label "neurotypical". Discrimin...

Who would be better at surviving the apocalypse Autistic people or NT's? I think people with ASD would fair slighty better than NT's because we have good technical skills and we're also good at surviving on our own. Avoiding people and being independent could give us an advantage over everyone. If w...

I have nostalgic feelings for the late 1980's and early 1990's. These were my early childhood years and I wish I could go back to that time. It was the only good period of my life, a time when I was happy and blissfully ignorant. Also it was great time to live in. A great time for being a video game...

I'm not talking about having "meltdowns" because of sensory issues or discomforts, I'm talking serious issues such unemployment, concerns about job security or abuse. I'm tired of being accused of "overacting" to real problems just because I'm an aspie. I get told a lot that "everyone is under paid...

Despite your own personally beliefs which do you think is more correct. Some people believe you shouldn't break the law simple because 'it's the law.' Others believe it's ok to break the law because laws are created by corrupt bureaucrats. A Few people break the law out of greed or for thrills. Othe...
