That sort of sounds like me at 20 when I dropped out of community college. It wasn't just the amount of work but the way it was presented. Sometimes I sort of struggled to understand their instructions before I could begin to follow them. I was doing IT. I understood about 99% of the computer stuff...

^ This. XD

But what I ended up putting was something about enjoying solving maths/logic/computing problems, I would like to be able to better handle unfamiliar situations, and I talked about some volunteering I did a while ago.

"What are your strengths?" I'm guessing almost every job wants people who 'work well in a team' which I am the opposite of. "What skills would you like to improve?" Ok not quite, but I can't exactly write down 'coping with mental illness and social anxiety'. "What are your hobbies?" ...

Over the last 2 years I've been having regular meetings with a woman who works in 'disability services'. She's very nice, but I don't think these problems can be solved just by talking. :/ Apart from that, I've never been aware of anything. Open Uni is another thing I have considered extensively.

Starting again means starting from scratch from year 1 and being more and more in debt and it's really not what I want to happen at all since I don't enjoy uni and am just trying to get it over with. That, and I don't have a clue what other course I might be interested in. I don't think it's the cou...

Results day is today. I have barely passed 50 credits worth of modules this year, which I think is about half of what is required. Those that I did pass, I passed barely by a few percent. I feel so sick right now. This is my second attempt at this year of my course already - the last time I left hal...

I spend way too much time playing video games when I'm not at college. Sometimes I don't even know why I do it apart from not having any other hobbies. So many games make me feel like a complete imbecile though because I'm awful at them. Mostly anything involving any sort of 'strategy' is impossible...

Here is another thing to consider. Do you consider your lack of imagination do to the fact that you are shy or feel embarrassed about some of the imaginative ideas you have? I do have very severe social anxiety and am basically a recluse. But I'm not even talking about wanting to be creative and SH...

What do you do when you are walking on your own? Walking? I think you may have the wrong word. :/ And it's not even imagination on demand that I don't have. I'm not able to think of anything creative or interesting at all ever. I'm not even in high school anymore, I was just using it as an example....

Depending on the source, I've read that people with any sort of ASD tend to be either super imaginative or have a complete lack of imagination. I have a complete lack of it and this frustrates me a lot. For example, in school we'd have creative writing assignments and stuff like that, I'd spend the ...

Don't think it's just ASD people either. My mum hates having her hair cut at a salon - she always gets me to do it because it's a really simple style. I hate having my hair cut too - because just think when's the last time you went to a hairdresser and didn't have to do the dreaded 'small talk'? Nev...

Weren't you afraid of meeting your dates for the first time? I am always afraid of rejection and not being able to meet others standards. I am always afraid of being found weird. I am. Aside from the fact that she wanted to go drinking, this was the reason I didn't keep talking to her, I must admit...

I'm in uni at the moment and can't say I like it. I'm looking forward to finishing my degree in the hope that an job I can get afterwards will be better than working in McDonalds where I was before. :P But yeah, uni is a challenge. There often isn't a lot of structure and you have to be able to work...

I'm almost 22 and have never had a 'date' apart from a couple of years ago when me and a friend briefly became 'friends who kissed a lot', if that counts for anything. :P (btw we are still on good terms but we don't do any of that anymore. lol) So yeah. I've never had a 'date' or a proper girlfriend...

anxiety responds well to being challenged a bit at a time. do something a little scary like saying "hi" to a stranger. then next time, add, "how are you?" or go outside for two minutes and gradually build up to 30 minutes. all the while, remember that others are worried about what you'll think, too...
