I am very apprehensive about going anywhere near online dating, but to be honest I don't have much of an ide of how else to meet anyone. The Uni I go to is quite small, so theres not a huge crowd there, and I can't do bars or clubs. I need to talk to a person at least a little before I start to be a...

How?
I've just moved out of home and started Uni, I'm diagnosed aspie, male and gay.
i can't really do the bar thing, or online simply because I need to know a person a little before I start wanting a relationship.
Does anyone have any advice, or even a nice how-we-met story? |

Hi, I read the rules stating you can't post things advertising your own websites and pages until after you've contributed a fair amount to the site. I'm not sure if I have, but I've been a member for a while now, so I'm going to post it and see what happens. My whole family has Aspergers, and we kno...

Hello. There's some work I need (Well, want) to do, but I can't do it unless I listen to music. Problem is I'm a bit sick of my current playlist, so I need some good recommendations. Things you've loved and enjoyed. Keep in mind: ALBUMS! Not songs. Things I hate: Repetitive songs Techno/Dance/Trance...

Hey, I want to thank everyone for their replies. It's a little daunting posting problems on the internet, because often everyone has their own "quick fix" or is abusive and negative. I'm glad that didn't happen. My best friend is coming up to stay with me soon, I'll talk to him about this, then afte...

Hi. First a disclaimer, while it might seem like an attention-seeking compliment fishing post, I promise this isn't. I really just needed some other people to hear my thoughts. I had to put all this down, or I might go insane. But I'm not looking for any kind of dramatic encounters. I'm finding it h...

I don't really understand why people feel a need to inflict their views onto other people. I consider myself "pro-choice", as in, you can choose what you like. If you don't like gay marriage, don't get married (If you're gay obviously) It's really quite simple. Our entire world is structured so that...

Thank you, that's actually just what I needed to hear. I think I wanted a quick and easy reason to ignore somebodies treatment of me, but now I see I have to talk to them and deal with this problem head-on.

Is it right to accept somebodies bad behaviour because they don?t understand what they are doing? Should you be angry at a sociopath because he doesn?t experience empathy? Should you refuse to accept someone solely because they have a mental illness and think people are trying to kill them? If someb...

I think a girl bullying your main character is a good idea. StarTekker made some interesting points, but it could be perfect. Girls often hang out in groups and cliques, so you could have good scenes where the central antagonist says something, and the rest all laugh and giggle. Maybe they call him ...

Yes, I think I've been a bit misunderstood here. My fault mostly. I am in no way saying I am schizophrenic, or think I am. It's true I have some symptoms, but if you look online you can self-diagnose yourself with literally anything. If it's to be believed, I'm an Autistic Schizophrenic with OCD, AD...

Hi, I know the subject for this post is pretty vague, but I couldn't fit what I wanted to write: Knowing about mental illness does not mean you don't suffer from it. I think this is a really important point, that I haven't seen as commonly as others. I think it's especially relevant to teenagers. Le...

Well, this sounds really interesting. And I'm happy to hear you're doing your research. I'm happy to answer all questions. PM me if you have any more :) Were you bullied at high school? No (Considering I actually didn't DO high-school, homeschooled), but I was in Primary School. I do know that a lot...

All this talk reminds me of a great saying.
