Hi guys, I'm thinking of starting a group for people on the spectrum, at my college. I've already spoken to employees of the college and the idea is gaining ground. However, I am just one person and I know my preferences but I'd like to hear about yours as well. For example, we are considering how t...

Hello All, I was wondering if I could get some input from members who are currently in college or who have recently left school. I am wondering what your biggest issues were- whether it was during the change from living at home to living in a dorm with a roommate or classes or friends or whatnot. Al...

^^ I had this issue the other day (the last time I sent a message). Wonder what it's due to? Olympiadis is having more problems. When I asked him what his browser is, he replied thus: "It's Safari-5 on an old iBook G4, so there's little to no chance of upgrading browsers. The problems are incre...

I don't have any comorbids and have never been told of a medication that works for just ASD (not that I would ever take it anyway)- so the trick is really finding a medication that works for ADHD, but does not make ASD symptoms or effects worse- which really is going to be about trial and error. So ...

The dog's dead. Hit by a car. Cute little chihuahua girl. Killed because a cable guy carelessly left the fence gate open. And because I wasn't disgusted enough with humanity, the person who hit her kept going. Didn't stop. Hit her and left her in the street. Human beings are the worst. Nuclear holo...

I usually take one tab of melatonin and that helps. However, recently I've started listening to music right before I go to bed- whether it's thunderstorm recordings or white noise or "coffee shop" music... as long as it's quiet and calming, it helps. Then when I actually get to bed, I prac...

But then I started to read things on the internet from people who identified as aspie or high functioning autistic. And a lot of it seemed like what I thought and felt. And I would think, this is it, this is who I am. But then I forget or go into denial or something. And then I go off looking for o...

Hello and welcome to WP :) I like your name/handle.
