If you're in the wild, building a makeshift tent and rain catcher for water using tarp or other kind of plastic sheet is helpful. Any food that you might find is best stored in a sling in a high tree branch to prevent bears from getting to it. As for the concrete jungle, I wouldn't know how to survi...

For people I know really well, I've adapted. Though I still say "how are you doing, or what's up" a lot. But for people I don't know, unless they're expressing super extreme emotions like shouting or crying, it's hard to read them. Often times when my mom is upset (usually with my dad), I apologize ...

I do work in a lot of different styles, but I'll stick with this link for now. Both tracks are downloadable for free, so don't let the bandcamp link throw you off.

Unfortunately this seems to be fairly standard operating procedure for many police departments in modern America, especially the NYPD.

I think in the short term, autism speratism might be helpful, but in the long run it could be disasterous, as it would only succeed to further "other" us from "normal" and "acceptable" society, aka neurotypicals. When NT's fear a group for no good reason it's bad enough, when the number of those peo...

I have lots of empathy but was said to have no empathy. I think a lot of times a claim is made and we can be forced into a label. I have heard the argument that an aspie is full of empathy but is so overwhelmed in information that they have difficulty expressing it and for others it becomes so pain...

I'm having difficulty figuring out this whole affective epathy vs cognitive empathy thing, but one thing I can tell you is that I care about humanity, I care about others. You could say I care TOO much, to the point that at a certain threshold I have to shut down and isolate because I can't cope wit...

Probably due in no small part to people like those who run the "satire" site "Wyoming Institute of Technology" preying on those with autism for their own cheap laughs. They have an article titled "New Study Shows 92% Of Convicted Murderers Suffer From Aspergers Syndrome", accompanied with pictures o...

Hi, I'm new here and kinda nervous bur I suppose that's to be expected. I'm undiagnosed aspie, though really the only reason is because my therapist says she doesn't want to label me and the testing would be uber expensive anyways. I'm still not sure if the lack of a diagnosis benefits me or holds m...
