I do think Aspies feel emotion differently. I think that in Aspies emotions are more intense. The problem is that those emotions need to be real. When NTs congratulate others or feel sorry for others they are usually faking it. Just saying the words without feeling the emotions. I know because I am ...

When I was young and dreamed about having a family, I always wanted to have three kids. Two kids of my own (male) and one adopted (male also). Now that I am living in the real world, I have one kid (daughter), and I do not want anymore. Having a kid is not easy, specially if your kid has AS. It cons...

First of all, I think you need to find out if you do have Asperger's or not. Just go and get tested. It will not hurt, and it is better to fall that keep on hanging. If you find out you have AS at least you will know why you are the way you are and will be able to face it and try to deal with it. I ...

Silver's recommendation is very good. You said you like reading and video games. It's easy to find reading clubs at school or at the library or even at bookstores. And as long as you participate you will blend in just fine. There are also clubs for people who love videogames. Just do a little resear...

My husband and child can "hear" the electricity. My child asks me "can you hear it?" But I cannot. But she can do it at will. Maybe thats part of the problem with the electronic appliances. Maybe you can hear the electricity, too.

I would not cause I'm already married. I could choose whoever I want and I married an Aspie. What I find more attractive in a man is his intelligence. So yeah, I might fancy you.

For me sharing the bill means no commitment, lets be just friends. You split the bill with your friend or with your boyfriend, not with someone thats trying to score. Something else: it needs to be talked about when you are inviting the person so she can take the decision of paying for going out wit...

Alex was part of our family for a long time and we loved him very much. I think you should trust. Maybe you are just trying to fibd excuses because you d...

I actually run a test with my daughter, because I noticed a relationship between chocolate and her zits. Every time she eats chocolate she gets zits. When she does not she might get one or two black heads, but that's it. My sister in-law says she cannot eat chocolate because the same happens to her....

I think I can be called "frugal". I try to reuse and recycle as much as I can. I only have 2 pairs of shoes I wear all the time. I do not need more or want more. I use my cloths until they are worn out - then I get some more. If I find something I like (like a T-Shirt), I try to get it in different ...

I am Agnostic. I am not Atheist. I do believe in God. Actually I do not know if it should be called "God" or something else, because I do not perceive it in the way catholic religion teaches us "God" is; I perceive something different, something full of love we will go back to and will become part o...

Today I received the diagnosis from my child's psychologist that he has PDD NOS/ Asperger / Autism. He will be 8 in June. I found this community on Wikipedia after doing a search on the phrase Asperger. I'm very grateful that you are here. I'm at sea and at a loss, but it's great to find some peopl...

I do think kids today are requested a lot more than their predecessors. I look at my daughter and she is getting so much information and seeing more subjects than me and her age. I think its because everything is moving so fast now. At least college you have the chance to attend only the subjects yo...

There is something called free will. You cannot force people to do things. People have rights, you know? I do not agree with teen pregnancy. I do think it should be stopped, but it has to be done by education. I am also against people having a lot of kids... I mean... Our world is crowded enough, ri...
