Happy for you!! I hope you enjoyed graduating - not necessarily the ceremony, but the feeling of no more essays!

I would say the term introvert fits me. I prefer to be alone most of the time, and I bond deeply with a few friends and family.

Agreed about people forcing tastes on others. It can be quite prevalent in places and can be overwhelming for whoever is on the receiving end. The headphones aren't just useful for blocking out noise, you can use them to make a journey really atmospheric by playing whatever suits you mood/whatever y...

Generally I looked in someone's direction while they were talking, and still do. Due to my visual impairment, full on eye contact isn't that easy, even less so due to my autism. No-one has ever criticised me for lack of eye contact specifically insofar as I can recall, just not looking in someone's ...

I know that people with ASD can experience meltdowns or go into freeze mode (I don't know the formal term). Some get a bit agressive and other people go into freeze mode. I know one person who is very much into heavy music, eg death metal and other, what I would describe as, agressive music. Is it ...

I liked to draw, paint, and think up elaborate stories and worlds. I still do all of those things actually! I had a lot of plushies and still do, though those are comfort items more than anything else/ It's good to see you, NaturalEntity! I liked to draw but I wasn't that good at it until I was aro...

Then there's journalists with no skills in video games given review copies and this is what I see. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zbE6fqBuGkA His review: "the controls are slow and klunky, can't even beat the tutorial" The Air Dash was staring him right in the face! And finally, there's K...

Deep down, in my core yes. But in expression and to the world, I just don't care if someone thinks I'm a female CIS. I generally go with a female or androgynous style, depending on how I'm feeling on that day. I don't mind if I get perceived as female, since some of my gender feels feminine.

Haven't watched because seeing it play out makes me very uncomfortable, but I have read and speculated a LOT. It has a lot of good messages and themes, too. That's the kind of work I like to see.

Never watched any (I get really scared when I see stuff like that on film) but I love the concepts of The Thing and Event Horizon. (I read about them instead.)

I'm back now!! If only for a little bit, I'm in an important year for exams so I don't know how much time I'll have here. But I hope to become more active at some pint.

I'm curious about how other people with ASD played as children? I personally liked lining up and stacking things, and just generally organizing things. I did play with toys "properly" sometimes, though I often preferred inspecting parts of them instead of playing with them, and if I did d...

I recommend making your own notes with all the stuff you need to know, but only include the things that you haven't quite gotten yet as a priority. As a biology and chemistry student, that's what I do.
