Okay, but is it a good idea to have a god who allows his subjects to kill in self defense? You'd rather not be allowed to kill in self-defense? Really? And what do you think is the moral thing to do if some thug breaks into your house, for instance? Hug them? Call the police who won't get there for...

Why transfer it? If it's being replicated, why not keep the original? Or make multiple copies. Then your minds can slowly merge into a hive-mind. Also also you take over the world or some such.

Heck, it's make reading ebooks way faster ether way.

Can we take this back a few steps:
This idea makes no sense, but it could spur you to learn more about how the nervous system works, then it's good. Go read the wikipedia page on neurons. And Electricity.

Explain to me why it's not irrational that you can justify assault wheapons by the constitution and cannot justify nuclear wheapons by the constitution. I'm all ears and know when to recognise I've lost an argument. What is an "assault weapon"? Political term for anything that looks scary to the an...

I don't think I could ever have a lasting relationship with someone who's personal philosophy/basic instincts/"imprisonment in the wrong body" could result in mutilating themselves beyond recognition. I'd be very interested in the responses of people who: * Would not date a transwoman, but would dat...

As for debating it, you can just as easily point out other things people d...
