Welcome to the Asperotica Cafe! Let's look at fractals while listening to Pink Floyd and mix our atoms. Now you've done it. My machine is completely slugged. I didn't have Xaos installed, so I grabbed it and started it. Fullscreen. Doing auto-pilot through std Mandelbrot, about 20% Alpha mix with o...

Turntables didn't really go anywhere. They have actually improved by an amazing degree in the last few years, although that is probably not true of the ones you find at K-Mart. Vinyl has become the mainstay of the dedicated analog audiophile, because they sound so much better than CDs. One thing th...

I find it interesting that no one here has risen to the challenge... of saying anything positive about today's progressive music. Nah, I'm with you. I listen to all music. Not much commercial radio, though. I have found quality music in the local university stations, quite often. I like guitar rock...

I kind of like Chuck. His A/R habits remind me of my husband. It makes me feel more calm. I want my Pink Floyd blaring though. but Chuck is not the only one that tidies up here at the Cafe and Pub. Lau used to take a turn and I remember distinctly using the john in the far corner. Merle I hate to b...

*waves at Chuck, thinking he may be an interesting character, even if he is obsessed with neatness* I used to live in a rented log cabin, on Old Hickory Lake, in Hendersonville for about five years, back when I still had dreams of a music career. Worked in several studios and traveled with many band...

turntables ARE making a comeback, even K-mart has one, it's a tuner/turntable combo. it looks pretty crappy but they don't want a lot of money for it. i noticed them in the catalogue of some other electrical stores as well. Turntables didn't really go anywhere. They have actually improved by an ama...

Anyone listening to music? Mine is pretty loud, right now. Ozrics. My guess is that refers to the band Ozric Tentacles ? I used to think it was Ozark Tentacles, since that's the closest I could come to a known word. Have heard a few of their tracks & liked them. I enjoy shwoomy, swirling, vast ...

ok, Ok, I get it that Dino means Dinosaur , as in extinct but not forgotten, but is it pronounced DEEEENNNO or DIIIIIIIINNNNOOOOOO? it's so hard to tell. (contrast that against the Black Hole that forms in my head during the fall and we could power some perpetual motion matter/anti-matter machine.)

I may have worn out my welcome at Wrong Planet, but I see a few names of people I have grown to respect, when I was here, before, and now I find out they are a bunch of "old coots" ... should have known, right?.... Worn out your welcome :? - that's about the aspiest thing ever said. Yes I know you ...

I would join in, but I am useless at breaking into established threads.

Thanks, Graelwyn.

... established thread? nah this thread's only a few weeks old. Let it grow up, first.

The woman, the initiator, continued at intervals to use her suck on me. Once she came down and sat on my front porch. I asked her to leave and she wouldn't. I told her I was going to call the cops and she said 'go ahead" I don't understand this behavior. Why would a woman come and sit on your porch...

Thanks, DogDancer.
I also answer to DD, so I'm going to be confused and talking to myself, before long. Try to ignore that if you can.

Thanks to all of you. In the time since I started posting here, I've come to realize how much we all share. You truly are my extended family. Thank you, each of you. Hi, Prof, I'm still getting up to speed, since I haven't been around for a while. I just saw the part about your brother. I can remem...

That was the point, we survived anyway , found our own way, gathered in our own places, chose our own associations. I agree with this sentiment, but I would not be opposed to a dedicated place. I would probably bookmark it and visit more often, if I did not have to dodge the recently born. I honest...
