I am a poet and philosopher, so the literal Aspie world is an enigma to me as much as the figurative and metaphorical world is to them. I feel ... |

Try not to see anything false, phoney, or insincere in the way in which you lived. You adapted well.......now you can learn new skills in order to live well. Most of us aspies have... |

I think much the drive behind my 'scripting' is the fear of being seen as odd. I know a lot of insequre NT's do this too, especially those who have abandenment issues. But for me, I feel I do it so as not to look weird, anxious of affected. I was told every day of my life as a child that i was odd, ... |

I know it is very common amongst us Aspies to review in our minds certain scripts (things we plan to say including how we say it) before we interact with others. Also I understand it is common for us to re-play and analyse communications with others after the event. I was pondering on this recently ... |

Thank you Chronos I have OCD because many of my rituals are Egodystonic and not Egosyntonic. Also I have intrusive thoughts and Scrupulosity. I have OCPD and OCD. I have been Dx with C-PTSD and it is very common with many people in the spectrum to develop my patterning of OCD. Nothing is quite as bl... |

I think you are beautiful pandorazmtbox for having such a tender thought as starting this thread. Beauty is my special interest. I am beautiful because I adore beauty. "I guess I could have been pretty pissed off with what happened to me, but it's so hard to stay mad when there's so much beauty in t... |

Executive function and OCD I am presently receiving treatment for my OCD at the autism clinic at the Maudsley Hospital in London. The Dr says that because of how my executive function is impaired my OCD can be problematic. Because my EF effects my ability to organise my thoughts and plan my day, I o... |

Hi League Girl........i think vibes count here. As vibes are the bit that come before the body expresses itself. I really relate here to others who say they can read body language but not communicate it. However, I think some clever people can feel my vibes, even though this does not progress beyond... |

Yes, it is BBC1 television.
With re support all I can advise is
what I am doing which is keeping in
contact with my GP, psychiatrist and
Counsellor.
Many people with AS have been struck
off InCap because of being too
honest and not having someone to
assist them in going to medical review. |
