"What is everyone's favorite movie?" Ha ha! This is the kind of question that used to drive me nuts when I was in school. The teacher would say, "How far did everyone get on their homework?" Or "did everyone understand what the author was trying to say?" And I'd think, "How the hell would I know? I ...

I think it's a mistake to automatically equate NT with "extrovert". Extroverts are energized by social contact, and get worn out if they are alone. Introverts are the opposite. They get worn out by social interaction, and recharge by being alone. Those are the definitions. NT's can be either extrove...

ie, a manager asking me to do something and I go to do it and find it is impossible because some of the stuff I need to complete the task is missing, or completing the task involves having been trained in a way i havent been. Oh my goodness, I relate to this so much. I don't think I'm quite on the ...

If you are NT, how does it feel? How many friends do you have? How do you party? How do you feel looking into a strangers eyes? How are your anxiety levels? Is it easy to socialize and make new friends? I believe I'm NT, although I do have a few AS traits. I thought I was AS for a while, but a lot ...

"According to the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator personality test administered to two randomized national samples, introverts make up 50 percent of the U.S. population." I didn't know that. Interesting. What do y'all think? However I find that "50% of the U.S. population is introverted" seems implausi...

What I hate is when people break rules in front of their kids, because it gives the kids the message that rules don't apply to "us". At school pick-up time, there isn't enough space for all the parents who come in cars to pick up their kids. So, a lot of them will park illegally instead of parking f...

-The shooting of the Romanov family) You might be interested in the movie "Rasputin", starring Alan Rickman in the title role and Ian McKellan as Nicolas II. (I suppose Alan Rickman is my special interest, all though I'm not AS enough to talk about him non-stop). I think another title for the movie...

We each have our own perfect eye openness, and I think that the majority of people are just too picky about our eyes. I feel that if somebody has to complain about the openness of our eyes to the point of yelling, they have too much time on their hands, or they're just too picky, for their own good...

My 9 year old son is NT, but quite introverted, with a few AS traits. He's got quite a bit of anxiety about stuff like giving oral presentations, and that kind of thing. That's why I think your input might be valuable. I see that he has certain talents, like being able to sing well, and being able t...

Mostly, he just sounds a little immature and needy (although not incredibly so, for someone high school age). He seems to not be able to handle the fact that you aren't answering as quickly as he would like, and you aren't getting all excited about the same thing he's getting excited about. I'm not ...

I haven't been on a plane since the early 90's. But I'm actually thinking of going to New York in January (from Oakland, CA). There is an event in Brooklyn that I really, really want to attend, so I'm looking into it. (The event is a play, in which my favorite actor, Alan Rickman, will be performing...

It's good to see you are back in college. I remember that's something you really wanted. It sounds like you've still got a lot of anxiety about upsetting teachers, and having misunderstandings. I wish I had some good advice, but all I can think of is the totally useless and lame comment: "Try not to...
