Firstly, I'm a libertarian. Socially liberal and fiscally paleoconservative (as I like to say, because I believe in a freer market than neoliberals/modern conservatives). I'm a classical liberal (mild libertarian), but the details of what I would support are very different. You would support things...

Just Brexit, pretty much. May is probably the most redundant PM ever, and we're looking at a no deal Brexit but I don't even know what that means. Brexit on WTO lines. Oh, and Farage is still campaigning. Basically just a joke. UKIP is still going but I'm not a part of it any more. This is what hap...

I think it would be nice if the whole welfare system were made stricter to minimize abuse. The problem is that circumstances are different. Here in the UK there was a problem during the Labour years with people getting a lot of benefits they weren't necessarily entitled to. This has been tightened ...

I am a left wing guy. PVV is quite an extreme party. Geert Wilders has beaten his own dog severely, until his brother took his dog from him. There are more things like this known about this unstable man. He is just a racist and talks out of his behind. Everyone can vote on who they want, but Geert ...

Stef Blok you mean? He made rude comments about immigration, other countries and foreigners in general, and someone secretly filmed it. I know; I laughed at some of it, agreed with others. The black people thing got an intake of breath. I was a bit taken aback! Rutte let's him stay though. Are ther...

I should say: in a British context I would be considered right-wing. In an American context I would be left-wing, but without the rhetoric.

If you're long-term sick or disabled, you go on Employment and Support Allowance (ESA), which is what I was on. This, combined with other benefits, gives about US$1,100 per month but you must qualify, and the requirements are quite strict. You must actually be disabled to qualify for them. Some peop...

We have Statutory Sick Pay for those too ill to work (up to 28 weeks), and Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefit for those injured or diseased.

What's happening with that VVD politician? I'm getting half the story about that. Some of it was a bit blunt!

In the UK it's mandatory, but that also means you get benefits if you're out of work, sick, and so on and so forth.
