The system is different in the UK but it's still pretty obvious the drugs companies pull a lot of strings to keep their money rolling in. I've had Type 1 Diabetes for 40 years and I've seen a lot of these tricks. A common one, for example, is to give NHS specialist teams "demonstrator" te...

So, I have ADHD but it actually took me forever to get a proper medication because big pharma is full of it. I started on Adderall because I assumed because it was was so well known it'd be the best. It kinda worked and got me through my first semester of college, but it made me feel angry and speed...

I find that due to my autism making me largely disinterested in socializing much of the time made me not talk to peers as much, along with the social difficulties making it hard anyway that I never really joined any particular clique. As a result of this not only did I avoid peer pressure from these...

My mother in law is a terrible, abusive, manipulative individual. She uses virtually everybody around her in sick head games of deception. First off, she emotionally abused my wife growing up (who also has ASD) and tried her very hardest to make her feel like she was destined to fail and be her infe...

Many people have similar ideas..... In my personal experience on the quest for the truth, Kaczynski's manifesto was my first exposure to such ideas. Regardless of the source it's worthwhile to discuss them which I would rather discuss than the source in which I found them initially. Kaczynski is a ...

 Read up on the Luddites. They’re radicals....but they don’t send bombs to people. The Lusdite riots were violent affairs and the revenge taken on them was even bloodier. They were also merely workers who lost their jobs to machines and had to retrain. That's not the cost of technological progr...

And if you are legally barred from owning an assault weapon, that isn't going to stop precisely the same guys who would hurt you from commiting the extra crime of obtaining one via the black market. I mean, this is just obviously not true. Making it harder to get a gun reduces the amount of gun cri...

Well in Canada they allow you have a gun as long as it doesn't look "military" so if it doesn't look like that, then having one in your home for a desperate self defense situation, should theoretically be okay?

Shouldn't function matter more than looks?

Why must people own assault weapons? Because sometimes when it comes to protecting yourself and your family, the police aren't going to be there in time to save your life. In fact, criminals go out of their way to ensure you won't be able to get police involved before they hurt you. And if you are ...

This thread seems more of a promotion of the Unabomber's manifesto, and less of one for environmentalism. I don't even know why this thread even exists anyway,so someone figured out that even the most evil aren't completely evil. C.S Lewis said that even the devil wasn't completely evil and that th...

Yes, it is more left wing. The Canadian prime minister recently banned "assault weapons". There is socialized healthcare. The more left wing party is in power. You can more easily get in legal trouble just for saying things deemed offensive. All of these things are, at least in American po...

Bad people can still have good thoughts and ideas and to deny that is narrow minded. Nobody is denying that those thoughts (if he originated them, and wasn't just plagiarizing other people's work) were good; it's his actions -- and the redundancy of those thoughts -- that make him and his thoughts ...

Charles Manson was also a passionate environmentalist,he once said at a parole hearing that he was a prophet sent by god to save the environment. And believed man's destructiveness towards the environment justified violence. So there you have it,violent criminals often have self rightious codes of e...

Why must we give the Kaczynski guy any credence? Nobody is restricted from the free flow of ideas. Nothing should be off the table in terms of listening to ideas. What if Kaczynski held the cure to coronavirus? As demented as his actions were, should his idea be ignored in this case? Bad people can...
