What jonny23 said. This is the last place to show off a persecution complex for being an Aspie, bro. Sagroth, you have your opinion and I have mine. What happened then in your assessment? Not all opinions are created equal, particularly when one person's opinion disenfranchises an entire subsection...

The only reason for me to get an official diagnosis would be to get ssi. Other than that I don't see it doing me any good. And I think that is perfectly fine. For some people, having the DX from a medical professional is important to accepting the "identity" of Aspie. I was one of those people. But...

davidgolfpro, one of the most moronic and outright mean things a person can do is assume that everyone else's experiences will automatically mirror theirs, and that any difference is due to deficiencies in the other's character. This isn't true, and to think otherwise is ignorant and myopic in the e...

Mostly the former choice, but sometimes the latter. Being around others can sometimes be enriching, but often it is draining even if I enjoy myself.

Hey, here's a crazy idea: how about a "No" option in the bloody poll? Or is this one of those "when was the last time you beat your wife?" type leading questions where you're looking for confirmation to your bias? AS disorders can cause immaturity in interpersonal relationships due to the aversion t...

Lexapro killed my Libido, burned its corpse, pissed on the ashes, then kicked its dog for good measure.

I pre ordered the premium version from GameStop.com as well as ZombiU, NSMBU, and Pikmin 3. Truthfully, I was disappointed with the Wii, but I'm liking where Nintendo is headed when it comes to how they deal with third party developers. Funding and publishing two games from Platinum is awesome, as i...

Anyone else here pick up Borderlands 2?

I grabbed a copy on the Zbox 360. I loved the first one and so far am not disappointed with the sequel.

If anyone wants to play some co-op, my live gamer tag is sag616

Edit: whoops, meant Xbox 360.

I don't have tantrum meltdowns either, but I get depressed instead. Often, aspies get one of the two. Instead of exploding on someone else, I just silently crash. I isolate myself, find everything I do awkward and unnatural and completely lose connection with other people. Even when I am with them ...

Whoa, thread necromancy!

Anyhow, I actually kinda feel the opposite. I think other folks hop into my business far too often for my liking.

Ok, now for the serious answer:

I really don't know. Trains do seem to fall under that "stereotypical Aspie focus" umbrella(along with dinosaurs, video games, and robots), though.

Do you at least romance the trains a little first?

I think we need to rise above our station, and not just chug along full steam ahead with an on-rails relationship.

I mentioned this recently in another thread, but there was a time when an entire college class thought I was gay. It's also been asked of me before and since. And while I think homosexuality is fine and something one cannot change, I have always been as straight as straight can be. I think it has to...
