Also anyone with AS who has been on the receiving end of NT anger but later got an explanation from the perpetrator. You mean NTs are capable of explaining the motives behind their bizarre behavior? 8O I've never gotten such an explanation. I think it is largely because they themselves do not compr...

I had to deal with that kind of nonsense for several years as well. No remedy I found- if I ignored, they would persist, and grow more cruel in their taunts, or else begin to steal my things. Reporting to a teacher only made it worse. Finally the others at my school grew out of that childish phase- ...

Of, I wish these nutcase eugenicists would stop trying to meddle in the human gene pool... Look, the thing is, the functioning of even the simplest life on Earth is far too complicated for us to really figure it out. In short, our scientists are too stupid to create tailor-made babies. Even if they ...

That's why the people should be permitted to acquire tanks and howitzers. The point of the right to bear arms is lost if the government has access to weapons that are denied to the people. Cobra attack helicopters for EVERYONE! Hmm... but most Americans still wouldn't have the cash to purchase thei...

It should be noted that natural selection does not favor the one who lives longest- it favors the one who has the most babies. From this standpoint the common religious mandate to chastity could be viewed as slightly maladaptive. Living longer does not increase your Darwinian fitness, and may in fac...

My main objection to the Libertarian party is their exccessive (to me at least) preoccupation with marijuana. We have bigger issues to deal with than whether the pothead down the street can get his drug fix legally or not. Because of that issue the Libertarians have established themselves in...

It's difficult to avoid confirmation bias in the process though. It's better to disbelieve, and have the belief prove itself. Yeah, I did that, thanks. I approached Christianity trying to find some reason why it could not be true. I didn't find one. And could you elaborate on the idea that "it's be...

Restore the Old Republic that was America under Jefferson. Vote Ron Paul 2008. I support the Constitution Party, they haven't nominated a candidate yet, but I'm not voting for the major parties anymore they have to much already and don't need any more. Here is what the Constitution Party is for: Se...

Very catchy, but I would disagree. Philosophical questions can be answered, but often in multiple ways, leading to the impression that the can't be answered. And I do atempt to seek an objective truth in religion, actively questioning my own Christian beliefs until I am satisfied with the answers I ...

IQ between 3 and 4 standard deviations above the norm (one standard deviation=15 points on Stanford-Binet and similar). The requirement for MENSA is a measly 2 SDs above the norm (130 on Weschler, meaning 98th percentile). Remember, by the way Asperger's is defined (diagnostic criteria include norma...

Economically: FREE MARKET! The state is always less effiecient at providing goods than is private industry, and government goods are not "free." They just steal from one person, give to filthy bureaucrats and corrupt politicians, and then claim there's no money left to help the poor. I used to be a ...

Hello, My name is Spencer and I'm from Ohio. I was just formally diagnosed with AS earlier this month (though my doctor has known that I'm AS for years, he just hadn't put in whatever necessary paperwork). I've also been diagnosed with sensory integration disorder, but then I think any Aspie probabl...

This happens to me all the time too. An NT is upset or emotional about something, and I'm just sitting there thinking, "What's the appropriate response to this situation again?" Really, wondering how I'm supposed to react to other people's emotions/behaviors is far more troublesome and vexatious tha...

Some people are just like that. They don't have the diligence to actually work and learn to play well, but they get upset when someone who does work hard is better than them. Dealing with such frustrations in life becomes much easier when you realize that some people are just a lower form of life :D

I've had loads of lousy teachers over the years. First, my middle grade Spanish teacher, who kept scoring my tests incorrectly(I did not actually miss a single point the whole class, but I almost ended up with a B anyways). I was out with strep throat the day she spent the entire class explaining th...
