Whether parents choose to have it in the home or not, it’s still not appropriate for school. Many passages in the Bible are not appropriate for children. Some parts are sexually explicit; others condone or even encourage various forms of violence, including sexual violence, all in the name of God. ...

Taking a nap this afternoon, I had a bit of an odd dream. My nephew and I were driving down the road and we saw a building just off the road about a mile or two out of town that we had never seen before so we stopped to check it out. It wasn't all that big a building and had some parking around it b...

You're relying on moving goalposts, likely because you lack a serious argument. What is our goalpost? The initial argument was over whether or not the sexual content of the bible is appropriate for children. kokopelli has pivoted towards his life on the farm, as though that's relevant. Additionally...

yggdrasil -- a very large tree in Norse mythology

Mr. Regis Philbin: Is this your final answer?
kokopelli: Yes Mr. Philbin. This really is my final answer. :)

Lots of "parts of living" aren't child appropriate, so I fail to see your point. I was also a first or second grader when I first saw pigs being born and maybe third or fourth grade when I watched a cesarian section performed on sows when they were unable to give birth to the pigs trying ...

Why is that? I saw horses and cattle going at it when I was still quite young. I didn't know what I was observing, but it didn't badly affect me. It's still nasty sexual content, just because it's in a cult's handbook doesn't change that or make it suddenly kid friendly. We just considered it part ...

I don't think one needs to be offended in order to conclude parts of it aren't suitable for children. Ezekiel 23:20-22 for example. I seriously hope that I never meet anyone who is turned on by those verses. They're inappropriate for children regardless of if they're turned on or not. Why is that? ...

What are some examples of people that got a lot of education and work at jobs that are unskilled? I have read that some people with doctorates in physics keep two different resumes on hand. One resume includes their doctorate and information about it but the other stops at a masters or bachelors de...

I don't remember anything in the Bible that was all that explicit.

To be offended by any so-called sexual depictions in it, I think that you have to be really intent on being offended.
