Its hard to say if we´re missing out, because we naturally are compelled to enjoy different things. So, we really truly say that we´re missing out, because we don´t like most of that stuff anyway. It´s like asking the person who is a die-hard fan of football if he´s "missing out" on loving baseball....

Learn from it. Make sure that you ask sooner next time so you don´t build your hopes up. Thats what I always try to do now after making this mistake more than a few times. Unfortunately, its easier said than done. Even though I try to do this, I just made the mistake of waiting too long again and go...

On religion: I don't think the difference between religion and science has as much to do with faith as it has to do with the suppression of doubt. Almost all religions make it uncomfortable to have doubt, as you have an emotional attachment to what you believe. This might be true of other things be...

Platonic ideal objects don't make sense to me, but I'm not sure I want to go as far as claiming that logic (and mathematics) is only an abstraction process of the brain. After thinking more deeply about it, I do believe logical rules and mathematical structures can exist independent of our thought ...

Logically, all we can only prove that something is true if we assome that something else is true. All logical conclusions are based on a set of premises which may or may not be true. The most basic premises are by definition impossible to prove. This is by the very nature of thought itself. The ide...

I´m not so sure that perhaps it isn´t the case that she realized how stupid this was later on and is trying to cover it up. That "sleeve napkin" doesn´t seem to brilliant either.

Sometimes the problem is that we think that explanation = determination. That if we cannot explain how something is determined, then we can´t determine if so and so is the case. I cannot explain how I know that I am not dreaming right now, but I can tell that I´m not. I cannot explain to you how I k...

He may not know that the "ball is in his court" so to speak. Perhaps say something like, "I want to hang out with you again, but only if you want too and only when you´re ready, so let me know IF that happens". Make sure that he knows the ball is in his court, but that you don´t expect a return. I w...

Because she said "you don´t give a F--- about her" towards the end, it leads to me to believe that the "you hardly know me" statement, along with the fact that you respected her wishes was actually a test for you. To see if you would try to pry the information out of her to show that you really were...

My experience was to always check 1, but I did talk to the doctor personally once when I had to tell someone. That little statement is much too vague, plus its a permanent record in writing. Talking to someone in person about it will give a much better idea about how you actually feel and exactly th...

I'm not sure what you think that means, but if the neurological cause is known there would probably be a physiological test for AS. Does one exist? Last I checked there are a number of current theories for the causes of AS including poor parenting, vaccines, a lack of oxytocin in the brain, etc. Ag...

Like taking an examination in college for which I have not been given the topic. I tend to fake my way through it, like I would fake my way through essay questions for which I have not studied for. Sometimes I´ll hit the nail on the head and have no idea why, but most of the time its plainly obvious...
