hand shaking spreads germs. So true. Reason why after shaking hands with someone I go to the nearest restroom and wash my hands. People think I am OCD, duh. I learned to shake hands just recently. Up to the age of 14 I just stared at the hand and didn't shake it, usually causing laughs or sursprise... |

In my case, it benefitted the teachers, who had an excuse to treat me like crap and not teach me anything useful. And they also made me develop ODD because of that. Just to make my social problems worse, y'know. Note: I am talking about my ADD diagnosis; I wasn't diagnosed with Asperger's during chi... |

Yes, many people think it is trendy, expecially nerdy teens who get teased for being nerdy and think they have Asperger's because they want to feel part of a "special club", even though they can perfectly get facial expressions and body language, understand jokes, use sarcasm, don't obsess over thin... |

Well, I am actually disabled. Y'know, I am not like Sheldon, a genius with straight As with some social issues. No matter how the media represent it or how people think it is cool or genius-like or how the definition of it has been changed by the internet subculture into something much milder in the... |

Do you have these troubles with writing at the computer as well? Your spelling seems pretty good here, so I think it is dysgraphia. I have a dyslexic friend and he troubles with writing at the computer as well. I tend to mistype on the computer and write letters in the wrong order on paper, but I ha... |

Not all people with ASD enjoy socializing. People with ASD are both extraverts and introverts, even if all of them might look introverted due to their disorder. Extraverts like socializing and being with others; introverts prefer to be alone. My brother (LFA) is an extravert. Me and my father look i... |

I am almost 17 and I have never slept over. Also, I have no intention to. No matter if the person who invites me has autism or not. I fear that anyone might harm me when I am sleeping. This is the reason why I have a knife hidden even in my own room. Kinda like Christofer from "the strange accident ... |

Academics : philosophy, history, physics, geometry, literature are the worst for me. I'm average or very good at all the other subjects. Participations : it is hard for me to maintain my focus. Social : in 1st and 2nd grade I had no friends; in grades 3rd, 4th and 5th I had all male friends except ... |

I buy used books. If I can spend less money, why not? Snobbish people would rather spend more money and buy new books, an that's stupid to me.
Also, used books often have notes written by their former owner, and they are very useful if you can understand the handwriting. |

My parents never tried to give away my "childish stuff" unless I wanted to. I am almost 17. Some days ago I was watching my little pony on TV and I asked my mother something like "mom, you think I should by ashamed of myself?" and she said "no, you're not doing anything bad". My parents are both aro... |
