You could also look in to vocational rehabilitation, which is generally a state-run program. Their goal is to get you the treatment and skills that you need to get a job, and also to help you find the right job, and to make sure that you have the correct accommodations so you can keep that job. They...

My dad revelled in this story of me when I was around four. Dad: "Would you like to join the brownies?" Me: "No.." (looking confused at the question) Dad: "Why not? You'd have lots of fun with all the other girls" Me: "I can't.. I'm not brown. Duhh." When I joined the brownies, we went to the store...

I don't like ordering. A lot of times I'll just point to what I want on the menu instead of talking.

Boiling a stinky pig in the lab. It wasn't too bad, but I was hungry so I went out into the hall to eat my protein bar (no eating in the lab), and it was really bad when I came back in from the fresh air. :?

I like them, but I don't eat them because they aren't very good for me. I like the frosted ones. Instead, I eat oatmeal with blueberries. Or toast with peanut butter and jelly. Or yogurt.

There's so much stuff I would love to eat, that I don't... Sigh.

I've been on topamax and keppra, currently on zonegran. No difference in the AS. Topamax made me stupider and keppra made me more depressed, though.

I would definitely recommend getting a prep book and working on the math problems. Do be careful about getting a used one, though. I know that the GRE has changed a few times in the past few years. I was not a fan of the GRE when I took it. I actually did better on the math than the verbal section, ...

Yeah.... I find my biggest annoyance is that people see it as something that I can fix if I want to and try hard enough. Even my dad tells me to "just get over it." If I'm worried about having to make a phone call or go to a social thing or go shopping, he tells me that I should "just do it, and qui...

What is the reasoning that they give for keeping such a tight watch on you? Is it justified at all? Are you currently seeing any sort of mental health professional or caseworker or something that could have a meeting with your whole family and discuss your current level of functioning and what thing...

I am vegetarian. Today at a 60th birthday party at a very expensive restaurant, I was served a 'vegetarian' meal. One bite of the risotto and I started gagging. The chef had cooked it in a seafood stock - yucko! I sent the meal back. I had this problem in Canada. I went there on a high school band ...

I'm a vegetarian because I don't like meat. The tendons and stuff are gross. It's too bouncy and stringy and icky. A lot of it is a texture thing, I guess.

Earlier this afternoon I was watching some birds out my kitchen window. I think they were mourning doves, but I'm not sure. The coloration looked right, but they seemed a little skinny. It seemed odd that they were sitting there for so long. Then I realized what was going on. It was a mother and fat...

My mouse is dead (or dying). When I started my computer this morning, it wouldn't work (it's an optical mouse, and the light wouldn't go on). I restarted and it worked fine. I went to do some stuff and came back, and the light won't work again. No light means no movement of the mouse, and the button...

You are so unpopular that you actually become the most popular target in the school. Including getting a new name that more people know than your real name. Bonus points if said fake name gets chanted by the entire bus on school trips.
