bee33, I've had a bunch of awful therapists. At best they were well meaning and kind, but not very smart or knowledgable. At worst, well, at worst I was the victim of sexual and emotional abuse by two different therapists. I understand that many people have found value in therapy and had therapists ...

I think one can do well at college and also have some friends. I found college and especially graduate school were the places I made a few good friends. Not talking about parties and drinking. Talking about art and foreign film viewing, concerts, interesting discussions. I don’t have much advice tho...

That is creepy.

And yes, I missed this in the original post, Aspartofme. I also did not hear it covered by other news organizations.

The other thing about being ASD is that no one sees us grieving. I can be totally undone, but if I say so to someone, they will say that I don’t look upset.

That part makes the alone-ness worse.

Again, sorry for your loss and I hope the responses here have helped.

I saw this somewhere and thought; it takes me more than 3 seconds just to look at a rubrics cube. Good for him having something to excel at.

I’m sorry you’re feeling down. Being jobless is a real hit to the self-esteem.

The referral to Vocational Rehabilitation is worth checking out if you are in the US.

We can no longer dismiss the outlandish ones. We would be silly to write off Trump or DeSantis, although the latter seems to be self-immolating recently.

A long time ago, think Reagan era, I had confidence in the Supreme Court. I believed that even those judges who had particular opinions, when elevated to the Court, would mature and grow into the responsibility of protecting our country and its democracy. It seemed to me that serving on the Court wa...

Florida (of course, Florida) has a similar law but I think it is tied up in the courts. A new law this term prohibits demonstrations at the state capitol. Both advanced by DeSantis.
