For those that don't know about eye dominance, Look at an object close and another further away, cover one eye, then cover the other. If the objects don't move that's your dominant eye. Fun fact: I just realized writing this that I'm right eyed at close distance, possibly related to the different fo...

Yeah I've "developed" itching too, though I think it's unrelated. As for ball sports, my problem is that my eyes have different focus (focal?) points (I read with one eye and look at more distant things with the other), which makes it hard for me to determine how far away things are. I'm f...

I.e., have you grown out of or learned to work around or in other ways don't really have problems that you used to have? For me: From when I learned to write I 1. couldn't manage to use spaces between words even though I knew what I did and that I shouldn't. 2. had really bad handwriting, so I alway...

It boils down to doing boring stuff that are not urgent. Cleaning house, washing clothes, paying bills, washing dishes, mowing the lawn, trimming the hedges, buying new clothes, changing bed linens... In many cases, my procrastinations causes things to build up, and become overwhelming. I'll do it l...

If was funny today. I discussed this with a colleague who has an ADD diagnosis and also makes lots of sounds. He told me that when we stopped talking to do some work, after 3-4 steps away from me he started whistling and when he made a short pause he heard me whistling too. I whistle during almost a...

Hi. I'm D. I have autism, tourette, ADHD, OCD, and more. I have a difficult time expressing myself, cos I feel like my words and thoughts have no weight or value. I can emphatize with that, for me it's more like my words and thoughts don't matter, and I'm likely to be misunderstood anyways so what'...

I whistle or hum almost all the time. In particular when there is a low volume background noice like from an AC, or when I am doing some monotonous work like cuttting wood with a hand saw. I suspect also that it may be my way of stimming. It usually is a short tune that I repeat over and over again....

I (well practically all in the department) have problems with a bully. He's probably mentally ill, but that doesn't help me... He usually does really childish stuff, like when I enter the lunch room he'll take my coffe mug and put it as far away from the coffee machine as possible. But for a while m...

I read at about half speed of most people, despite that I have read and read a LOT. Up til maybe 10 years of age I had massive problems reading and writing but it gradually got better, at 20 I was about average when it came to spelling and grammar. Now at 51 I am pretty good at it, but it has taken ...

Hi. I'm new here too. People don't really believe my diagnosis either but guess that's a good thing really as that must mean they don't think I'm as weird as I think I am! Maybe... I find it hard to convince people that the ventilation system sound is killing my concentration, for example, so it ca...

51 years old. Nobody believs me when I say I have ASD. No friends after living 7 years in this town but thats ok, I've always liked it better being on my own. On my second successful career being a teamleader of 1-2 people. Burned enough times when it comes to relationships that I'm not looking for ...
