You sound like you're closer to being OCD than most people here. I was on the till in two charity shops a few years ago when I was volunteering. Sometimes it was fun, other times I wanted to hide in the back room.

If your instinct tells you to buy it you will. Nothing anyone here says can stop you. That is the animal part of all us humans.

Personally I don't think you need a gun. But you know your situation better than me. If you feel someone is going to attack you then by all means, buy a gun.

Thanks for your reply. Being semi old?(62) having a childlike quality is a bit odd?

Yes, it is a bit odd but you will find that all people with Asperger's and Autism are odd; it is just the nature of the condition. And I believe we have our own qualities to offer that people less odd don't.

There's an uneven rhythm to your speech, there isn't an even flow. There's also a higher pitch than usual for a man, a somewhat childlike quality to the tone of your voice.

By the way it takes courage to record one's voice. I really don't like hearing my own voice. :)

One thing is for sure. This video doesn't belong here in the "adult" section. Nothing "adult". in either sense of the word, about it. Not "adult" in the sense of meaning "having to do with sex", and not "adult" in the sense of meaning "grown up...

Have you tried asking your GP to refer you to see a psychologist? They may know strategies and mind tricks to help you with it.

I always get ignored everywhere because I stand out. Maybe that's it with you too? I really liked your advice in Haven :) I want to know what number I am now. I only assign myself numbers. Last time I did that I was number 8. I got into an argument when I swapped days because someone else was numbe...

What a strange thing to say, eh? I had a magical one. I went from feeling low to feeling okay; I saw my therapist and they really genuinely care and it was nice to have that human contact with someone for an hour, where there's no worrying about getting a train on time, or who this stranger or that ...

I miss my sister at the moment, she was staying with my parents for a few months but is living on a Scottish island again now where she works on a community farm that helps youngsters with extra needs. I suppose doing anything fun is a good way of distracting yourself from missing someone. It could ...

How much alcohol have you consumed today? 4 small bottles of rum. Elizabeth Taylor and Amy Winehouse were kind of like me too. Shall we have a wager? What are the odds I will get banned for being drunk and disorderly? I don't know about banned, but ignored is a real possibility. I have a face-frien...
