I have inadvertently frustrated people a couple of times by speaking French or Italian with good pronunciation but limited to a vocabulary of 10-20 words. They have felt tricked into thinking I was more fluent than I was. I found it helps to mispronounce things so that the expectations of others are... |

Some other verses that can be encouraging to those of us who are less important. And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.- Luke 5:31-32 For ye see your calling, brethren, how tha... |

It is interesting to see how some subjects can generate intense emotional outrage and yet at the same time have such poorly defined terms and understanding. 1. Classic Autism was used to describe those (particularly children) whose severe brain damage or malformation resulted in early death. Such ma... |

Traditional Christian heaven doesn't appeal to me, which is ironic since we say God can give us our greatest desires. Considering that biblical Christianity has been so poorly presented in thousands of different ways, it is not surprising that someone might have a mistaken perspective of what the h... |

I am not familiar with the “GF” diet. It might be helpful for you to describe some of the distinctive features of the diet for those of us who are unfamiliar. I would not think any diet would be particularly effective except to the extent that an impact on the neurological configuration that manifes... |

You may want to hold off getting a official diagnosis. Once gotten, it would be difficult to un-get in the future. You should have a solid reason for getting one (i.e. employment, disability, etc.) and solid expectation that it would not represent a hazard in the future. Here is a free booklet that ... |

Many people respond to parenting by comparing their child to others and seeking to address what is lacking. It can be more helpful to consider your child in comparison to himself and exhort and encourage his next developmental step. This works with average children, downs children, gifted children, ... |

How would you recommend I go about informing others, should I at inform them at all? People who know you and care about you will accept you even though they may not understand what "being on the spectrum" means. (In fact, it is a dubious explanation in itself) Telling others may cause gre... |

Two years old is a little young to be concerned with a diagnosis. However, regardless of whether he has Aspergers or not, it is important to use external discipline until he can exercise internal discipline. Fatherless homes are a good indicator as to what a lack of discipline can lead to for a youn... |
