A sixteen year old is a child. A twenty year old is an adult. There shouldn't be any confusion there. Mental maturity doesn't abide by one's age and both are physically mature enough to have sexual relations. That isn't for you or I to say, with regard to maturity in said case. The law is the law a...

All the doors are locked and I can't escape. My dad's on his way to get me but I can't get out to see him. There are police running about...

^^ It's different when trauma is extreme, and when it is continuous and ongoing, lasting many decades or even one's entire lifetime, depending on the circumstances. In some instances like these it isn't always possible to recover, but one can still adapt to whatever extent one are yet capable of. I...

^^^ No need to be so insulting just because someone points out the fallacious nature of your arguments. What Fuzzy is saying is correct, when asked to undertake a voluntary medical a refusal is the same as a negative result. Also just because the law protects at today, it does not follow that this ...

so im aspie, both my parents are NT. so i shouldnt have it right? Nope. Yeah, your parents don't have to have it for you to have it. It has to start somewhere along the line. It would be confusing and everyone would be searching for answers about their behaviour and why they're so different. People wouldn't get the treatments they need. People will be committing suicide because they can't find any help. Depression wouldn't be noticed.

Labels are important.

I don't know how it happens over there but at least over here, no private information such as diagnoses of AS or Depression are included on a CV or anything that would be seen by an employer. Go ahead and sign up for the metropolitan police then, and tell them 'bollocks' to their "purely voluntary"...

I was told by a psychologist, with knowledge of Asperger's Syndrome, that it was in my best interests to not get an official diagnosis unless it was needed and I agree with that. I don't know what its like in the US but in Australia getting a diagnosis means I have it for life and there is good and...
