I really don't have that much trouble figuring out people's intentions, reading between the lines, etc. I guess it's because of my intelligence, and the fact that my AS is probably mild. I actually feel the exact opposite most of the time. I can peg people within about 10 seconds of meeting them, a...

Were you born without a burp spot? I used to do that as a baby, and that's what the pediatrician told my mother. Getting me to burp was absolute hell, or so I'm told. lol :P

Actually Hazel, I thought your description was a Hallmark card one. And yes, you are not convincing me that your version is better than mine. Open to opinions, but narrowmindedness??? Count me out. I guess I am comfortable with the heartless b***h tag than the stupid lovesick puppy one. That's not ...

And who told you that, a Hallmark card?

In the overwhelming majority of cases, life just doesn't work that way.

The only real solution to this is a great deal of practice in social situations.

Also, "When in doubt, leave it out." is not just a useful maxim for writers. It applies here, too. :)

But if you don't love them too... or aren't sure about your feelings toward them yet... then saying "I love you too" can be far worse than saying nothing at all. If you've known each other for at least a few weeks, how could you not be sure? 1) Do you like being around her? 2) Are you sexually attr...

Ok. When someone says "I love you." this does not necessarily mean, "I'd clean up your vomit every day for as long as I lived." In fact, it rarely does. What it generally means in standard usage is this: "I like you, enjoy being around you, find you sexy, and want you to be a part of my life for the...

Ok... a woman tells you she loves you, and you brush her off, run away, or hang up on her? And then some of you wonder why you have such a hard time in romantic relationships... When you do not respond with the appropriate phrase, "I love you too." you come across as a chronically self-absorb...

Do any of you ever feel like after you've done everything to be your best self, be who you feel the most confident in, being the best person you can be, having people almost punish you rather than reward you for it, that being polite is starting to feel too much like self repression and you start f...

I was just about to say "Sounds like Hazelwuldi was dating an aspie". I'm not exactly sure how a "weasel" fits here though. A weasel is usually calculating enough to make whatever move it wants to make. "Weasel" was a substitution for the foul language that I would have otherwise put after the adje...

Hi. A thought has recently occurred in my mind. It's fact that males are always the confronters and females the receivers when dating. Why is this so? Well, I guess the answer is society. Pfft, why can't we have a bit of equality here? Here's my thought. To the guys, have you ever seen a girl you l...

Sex is every bit as natural as eating or sleeping, I don't see what there is to feel guilty over. It's one of the things you're made for, so don't worry about it. *shrugs*

I do not need society, and society does not want me. I could care less, I'll sit back and let the gorillas destroy themselves with their own ignorance. You need society -- Where did the fruits and vegetables on your table come from? Other people grew them, other people harvested them, other people ...
