When I was little I was with my Mum in a shopping centre. She used the cash machine to withdraw some money and I saw her punch in her PIN number. Proudly, I told her that I knew her PIN. She became very flustered and told me that I must never tell it to anybody and I had to try to forget it. Of cou... |

I become angry very easily about specific things that anger me, if that makes sense. ie: I might not get angry about the same type of things that a lot of people would, but anything that is able to anger me, makes me very angry very quickly. |

I've always made a habit of not hiding the fact that I'm on zoloft for clinical depression, because there's such a stigma about it that I want people to be more aware. I've told everyone close to me about AS - half the reason I'd be hesitant to tell others is because ever since being diagnosed a few... |

I find communication on WP much easier than other forums because everyone is so straightforward and says what they mean; it's awesome to be able to converse with people who talk in the same way I do. |

This just happened this week: Woman coworker: "I have some news." Me and other coworkers: "...yeah?" Her: "Matt (her husband) and I bought a house." Me: "Oh, I thought you were going to say you were pregnant." I did not in any way mean that she looked fat or anything! Just that that's what I was exp... |

dogslife, you sound medically very similar to me; are you on any medication for depression and do you have responsibilities like school or work to deal with. I have neither now and still remain frustrated I'm on zoloft, and I've been on it for over 4 years (though I'm on a very small dose now, only... |

This is why parents have to be vigilant in protecting their kids. I disagree with this mother choosing to advertise her children's autism. It only draws attention to haters. There would never be understanding if we were all in the closet about it, though. I completely respect every individual perso... |

I have AS, clinical depression, and attention/motivation problems, too (although I'm not formally diagnosed with ADD/ADHD or anything). I'm the same way about motivation even for things I love, and I wonder how much of it is from depression and how much is from AS. Sorry my post isn't adding much, j... |

That overly friendly "charm" gives me the creeps too. I think because so much of the time it's fake, and it's like you have to be fake back and play along to socialize with those kind of people. (I'm not referring to people who are actually, genuinely nice in a non-robotic/fake way.) |

if the American Dream is that each generation can do subjectively "better" than the previous, then I believe this is an achievable goal for most people. How is this true when income inequality among households has been increasing significantly since the late 1970s? Only the ultra-rich are doing fin... |

frankly I don't know the extent to which corporate money influences politics in the US ...really? Big banks and oil can essentially buy a politician . In turn, politicians they help elect don't want to legally pass anything that will hold them accountable for misdoings and thus risk their campaign ... |

You left student loan forgiveness off of that list, but I don't blame you for doing so. It is one of Occupy's least defensible positions. Why should someone who chose to take out a loan to get a degree in Art History, for example, and now can't find a job have that loan forgiven at taxpayer expense... |
