| I think some of the terms in your post are deliberately left vague (terms your mother used, I mean) such as "in care." It is not usual that an autistic person living with parents is in care of social services (in the US), although the autistic person may be receiving some government income... |

It's not structured cognitive behavioral therapy, more like supportive as I go through various life challenges between my own disabilities and my family's. |
