I've never done that before, but now that me and my coworker have gotten more work load, have a tight schedule and have had to make big compromises with our vacations, we've been talking about asking for a raise. I'm currently writing out the email about it to our boss (he doesn't work in the same p...

I don't know about obesity, but from my observations, lots of autistic people do look like they'd be slightly overweight. Not that I can say for sure since I don't know their actual weights and am not a professional, so I could be mistaken in some cases... In my case, I was overweight from my pre-te...

Same! I mean, I think I might not be in an as bad situation financially as you, but I've got it tight, too. The thing that bothers me the most is the rising cost of food 'cause everyone's got to eat and I was already buying the cheapest options before the prices skyrocketed, so I can't really save f...

Um... education is when you tell someone facts, but brainwashing is when you tell someone your opinions and beliefs while claiming them to be facts? As in, saying "in the Christian religion, there is only one god" is education, for it tells what certain people believe but doesn't tell one ...

I just washed the dishes, and after putting them away in to the drying cabinet, I found a glass shard from the sink. Fortunately, it was from the glass jar that I washed and am gonna recycle and not from one of the two drinking glasses that I also washed just now. Not that I'm short on those, but it...

Is the pain of being in the job worse than the pain of worrying about needing to get a job soon, applying for jobs without necessarily a good reference, having to answer the question of why you left your current role in the most diplomatic way possible, worrying about money, and the stress involved...

I didn't know that it's a thing, but now that I do... nope, don't have it. I'm not always sure who I'm in the phone with, but even then I usually do have a guess and am right most of the time. Plus, I have prosopagnosia and voice is one of the things that do help me recognize people instead of their...

A little. I have no trouble paying attention when the subject is interesting, but when it's not, it's hard to not let my mind wander around. It wasn't a problem before, but now that I'm one of the organizers, I have the responsibility to pay attention to everything to the best of my ability. Others ...

You can always read up on those things. If it was as simple as reading up on those things I would have no trouble in life. What I struggle with is the social interaction that is involved with the people who who are in charge of the services. It's hard to explain. The common sense and social skill t...

Has anyone tried to teach you these things? If not, then I think it might be too early for you to say that you're too dumb to function in society. It's true that some people can figure these types of things out as they go and that some can learn by reading about them, but some, like me, need to be s...

Maybe, since you're already in pain due to being ill, you might be weaker than usual to other types of pain as well since your body fighting the infection and fever is taking your strength? Or if you've taken some medication for the infection, it might be weakening the effect of your pills, making t...

Yeah, but most of the time those things don't feel unimportant when the worry surfaces... then again, sometimes I know something really doesn't matter all that much, yet I still think what would've happened if I'd done some little thing differently. It's annoying really, but on the bright side, the ...

It's been a few years since I've gone to one. I've never been to any of the Disney ones... I'd like to go one day, but that'd be expensive since it'd mean a trip abroad. But maybe I could go to France one day, would be a shorter flight than to US. I've been to three different amusement parks and two...

Unless I'm speaking with a medical professional, I use autism spectrum. With pros, I use that and often clarify that my official diagnosis is Asperger's. It's just what I'm used to doing, not that I need to bring autism up all that often.

No worries, I always feel like that before a job interview, and sometimes after sending an application, too. I tend to be more nervous the more I want the job. I think it's just our fears of the unknown speaking. While everyone's not nervous about things like this, it's still very common. Just do yo...
