The neuro-logical structure of the autistics brain is different to that of a neuro-typical person. Who do the pharmacueticals make the drugs for? Neurotypicals - the ninety-nine percenters (makes sense). Taking this into account though - why prescribe the same drugs to autistics and expect similar ...

Perhaps there’s a greater detachment between the disorder and the person’s social personality than I’m led to believe, perhaps the only difference is overt social interaction when in the physical world – where there’s no physical world it’s the same as the supposed “normal” people. That's what I no...

Vicodin, hand down :D. I was taking it for a really nasty root canal, and as a side effect, it made me feel happier than I ever felt in a long time. It felt relaxed and at peace with the world. One day, I went out bowling with my friends, and when I left the house, I was still feeling the effect of...

I think I'm going to ask to go back on antidepressants to at least get through the summer - I've been consistent medication free for a year and up until now I was coping pretty well but I tend to fade in the stretch, so to speak. I've tried quite a few but the one I've found to work the best for me ...

When I was in high school I was prescribed Abilify, and I remember I was on it for about a week before I totally refused to take anymore. My doctor told me I needed to give it more time, but I seriously can't even imagine what kind of disorder a person would have to have in order for that s**t to be...

Not always, but usually, unless I make an active attempt to keep it out. Usually I don't want it tthere, because that's when I tend to have really cyclical thoughts. The days when I get the least amount of sleep are the days when pretty much no matter what I do there's some stupid song playing.

Hmm, speaking as a person who hasn't submitted anything to this site and bragged, how the hell can you consider what you are asking anything other than being an as*hole? "Oh hey guys is it just me or does everyone here seem to suck at art and not think so? Just curious." And then we're a bunch of "a...

I'm not into songs that are out and out "scary" in a Manson or NIN or Black Metal kind of way, but there are some eerie songs I like: "Eero" by Labradford "Though It Went So Well?" by Fushitsusha "My Prayer" by Maria's Breath (good luck finding that one though) "Beware the African Mosquito" by Nurse...

6-7 hours? How long do you usually go between eating? I used to go a day or two without calories,as well as years of very restircted calories, and I did find mental states unique to that sort of metabolizing.Early stages can yield a clarity and a kind of biological "quiet" that's sort of nice.I suppo...

Rain is wasted on people like that. You have no idea how much I wish it would rain here. Every day is the same stupid bright cloudless "beautiful day" that makes everyone go around talking about what a beautiful day it is, but all it does is singe my retinas and bake my skin. I need some rain, man. ...

This might sound stupid that I'm talking about this outside of a religious context, but has anyone found fasting to be of any psychological benefit? It's just I've noticed that if I go a long enough period of time without eating (like, say, 6 or 7 hours), my sensory overstimulation BS goes away and ...

I have a pretty surreal sense of humour. I laugh at things no one else finds funny, but a lot of comedians (especially nowadays) annoy me more than anything else. What poopylungstuffing said totally sounds like something I would say.

Along the lines of what's posted here, sometimes, especially lately, I'll be thinking y about x, and suddenly I can't remember if I've always thought y about x since the moment when I first came into contact with x, or if that was an idea that popped in my mind just now. Also, recently I think I had...

That happened to me a lot when I was in high school because me friends' personalities kept rubbing off on me or something. Now I feel like I have a more cohesive personality, but I also spend less time around people. Anyway, split personality disorder isn't having more than one personality in that s...
