| While most politicians have a background of being a lawyer, I don't think many of them are businessmen. I haven't actually gone through and counted, but my general impression has always been that businessmen are more common than lawyers in politics. OK, just looked it up; a whole ton of politicians... |

Communism certainly did enforce atheism as a part of the official ideology. That is not to say that all atheists are communist or even that all Communists are necessarily atheists.
In fact, many Latin American communists are devout Christians.
