Have you tried taking your brother to a music show or something? It sounds like he wants to make up. If he is having a string of bad relationships, it can take his mind off of things, and the shows are something you enjoy. If it gives you a chance to bond, and it could help both of you (reducing you...

I generally found the transition between middle school and high school difficult. I had this one teacher that I just couldn't stand, who always called me out when I was upset. Calling me out, in front of the class, just made things worse.

I was born premature and an aspie. My mom had me in all kinds of therapy, some of which I only recently learned was therapy. Like how my sister and I had this game involving an exercise ball, where we would roll it around as fast as we could while wrestling each other. The first one to take their ha...

"[He] had a talent for making friends. Upon his declaration, half the crowd surged forward to kill him and the other half announced that they, too, would like to kill him and that the first half should get out of their way." I'm not sure why, but it made me laugh when I read it. I imagine ...

Thanks for the advice.

I have a strong aversion to smoothies, blackberries, bananas, yogurt and spaghetti. Smoothies because they taste like fruits, but are thick and cloying and otherwise smooth. It's like drinking vomit. Blackberries, I just don't like the woody part in the center. The taste is fine. Bananas are a smell...

So, I met my mentor while still in HS, and was recruited to the Vice Chancellor's research team a year before graduation. Once in college, my mentor started teaching me how to do research- in hindsight, very badly. In short, she taught me one machine, a semester late, and while I was working on a pr...

My chem class (favorite subject and college major) has a flipped learning thing, so we take notes for homework and do group work everyday. My chem labs are also done in large groups, about 15 students per group. MS&E class is 4 hrs long, 3 times a week and is done in 5 person groups, where we le...

The end of civilization as we know it. You say that like it would be a bad thing. Because it is. Marriage is meant purely to between a man and a woman. The Lord created Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve. You are free to marry whomever you choose, regardless of whether or not you base that choice on ...

I have a talent for patterns and codes.
I can learn languages, mathematics and musical instruments very easily, and anything branching off from these. I also have a reputation for being an efficient code breaker.

I wanted to take martial arts, but my family could never afford lessons. I've been learning how to box, instead. You have to practice a lot to build up your speed, aim and strength, but the actual moves in boxing are simple. For the most part, it's strategy and hard work that wins a fight. My parent...

I actually forgot I had posted this. Good news: the research opportunity with my uncle is off the ground now. As a general update, i just learned that I can skip over all but my last semester of undergraduate school. Common Core sucks at my school- no one can teach math. We've literally been coverin...

This is quite exciting to me, perhaps this can explain why I have aspergers while my siblings and identical twin do not. :D My family is the same way: My identical twin sister doesn't have an ASD, but I do. Oddly enough, we were born with different eye colors, and even now, they are still different...

My parents have told me that I have Alexithymia. Whether or not it's true is harder to say. Whenever I read things about emotional stuff like this, I can't tell if it matches me or not. Sometimes I can remember the emotions I felt a few hours or days ago, but most of the time I can't. A lot of the t...
