I thought that was our whole problem to begin with. We don't absorb the info we need to adapt socially, we miss the signs NTs pick up and we have to be told directly. I certainly didn't learn skills through osmosis. It was mostly through making mistakes and being corrected or realising that what I ...

Hello, More often than not, osmosis might very well be the best experiences regarding Aspergers; especially if quality people are a part of one's life experiences early on! Overthinking/overcompensation might actually draw energies away from immersion in important life examples (for lack of better w...

Long-term memories can be a trait of the Autism-spectrum; an advantage in remembering possible past-lives. For example, long-term memories can yield decades-old memories from childhood; hence memories from childhood of strong deja-vu like experiences of interest to possible (out of conjecture) past-...

Here is an interesting article regarding reincarnation: •Omni Magazine's Interview with Dr. Ian Stevenson http://reluctant-messenger.com/images/ian-stevenson.jpg Probably the best known, if not most respected, collection of scientific data that appears to provide scientific proof that reincarnation...

By late 2018, there may be a writing program that applies Artificial Intelligence (AI) that helps (not replaces) the writing process! Again, great writing is more of an art (human efforts) than an (AI-orientated) science. UC Berkeley Professor Invents Word Processor to Catch Plot Holes in Writing: h...

I've pretty-much learned to avoid letting emotions "get the best of us!"

Most of what sensitivities I (subtlety) feel are those sentiments of being well......on the 'wrong planet.'

I once attended a show here in the US that featured an American comedian who quipped, "the British invented the English language, the Americans "screwed-it up!"

Oh yes, I'm quick to notice British spellings of word, and drawing comparison with their American counterparts. I'm quick to note words such as; colour, harbour, and favourable; as the American versions (the only primarily English speaking country in the world) drop the 'u' -- hence spellings; color...

Online job opportunites have their "down sides" e.g., what happens when online employers don't pay? It seems some type of reliable online rating system is necessary to weed-out the dishonest employers! ARTICLE: http://blogs.lse.ac.uk/usappblog/2017/09/16/digital-labour-markets-the-hard-que...

Hello,

Does anybody know about the 'Dirty Jobs' segment on the cement manufacturer (cement kiln) plant that applies tires in the process of making cement?

What episode featured the segment on the cement kiln? Or, what were the other 'Dirty Jobs' featured with the cement kiln segment?

Thank-you

Hello,

Does anybody notice patterns within seemingly random images? Noticing constellation-like patterns is an example of pattern-recognition abilities.

Any recommendations for specific websites / research into the brain's pattern recognition abilities?

My family advised that I apply for Regional Center services! I advocate, without Regional Center support, becoming acquainted with adults concerned with Aspergers (on a more or less informal basis). From my personal experience, I've had terrific NeuroTypicals (NT) who empathized with people on the A...
