When I was a kid I was DXed with Dyslexia, but when my sister was DXed with moderate Autism we realized I had more then...

I had to quit a job I had for 2years because of that. It's one of the reasons I was DXed. I was also really lucky with my new job because the new people were tolerant of my social dysfunction after I explained the dynamics of my disabilities to them. A good example is at first my new boss was angry ...

Self respect is what's keeping me alive. Before I found out I had AS I thought I was worthless because I didn't have many friends and it was always hard keeping a job, and gaining respect from my family. Now that I know I have AS I can also acknowledge that I can use different parts of my brain in w...

Tomorrow I meet with my psych nurse. I saw her a week and a half ago and mentioned Asperger's and she said that she had worked with boys with Asperger's and I didn't seem to act like them. I got nervous and clammed up and when she offered to bring it to the psychiatrist I sometimes see I said no. I...

I joined recently too for pretty much the exact same reasons LOL. Being Dxed at 20 really sucks because I've had to have so much help recently withs things that could've been avoided when I was a kid. I found out last year because my 4 year old sister was DXed while I was being treated for depressio...
