(Italics mine) 2. Insistence on sameness, inflexible adherence to routines , or ritualized patterns of verbal or nonverbal behavior (e.g., extreme distress at small changes, difficulties with transitions, rigid thinking patterns, greeting rituals, need to take same route or eat same food every day)... |

Oh no, I love the clinical! I completely agree and I think it is great that you have spelled it out with such detail! Now if we could just propose that to the APA. It’s interesting, I was just speaking with a nearly retired psychologist who was talking about how confusing it can be to clinicians be... |

The cutoffs are going to be inherently arbitrary. At 13, my dad could go into a liquor store and not get carded, so an adult or much older teen being attracted to him wouldn't have been abnormal at all because he was basically indistinguishable from an adult visually (tall guy with a full beard and... |

Personality disorders are diagnosed at ages 18+, where an individual's personality is more solidified. ASD is a developmental disorder that is present in childhood that may or may not appear in varying ages. Personality disorder is about the person's genes and their environment related to their beh... |

This is great!! I’d love to see the word “deficits” be replaced by “differences.” I’d also like to see something added to the criteria to guide professionals more clearly in the area of masking and how it can cause some criteria to appear as though they aren’t being met during an assessment. Really... |

The diagnostic criteria for Autism Spectrum Disorder in DSM-5-TR need to be changed, to also include people who developed an understanding of social cues on time, but have deficits in social-emotional reciprocity. Current diagnostic criteria for Autism Spectrum Disorder in DSM-5-TR: A. Persistent de... |

That is certainly possible, I suppose. I guess one problem is that we still don't know enough about ASD to know if it can lie dormant and then be triggered by environmental events later on. And that would be hard to determine. Do we know the exact genetic sequence associated with ASD? We would need... |

What is that? it is where somebody gives you a worn hissy audio cassette or old phonograph recording [LP, 45 and 78] to restore back into good sounding condition by removing all its aural flaws [impulsive and static disturbances, drop-outs, restore missing trebles and bass notes, etc.] and then giv... |

I'm not sure if anger can be healthy or unhealthy. I think that you should listen to your feeling and understand where they come from, why something is hitting you. Fever is always a signal of something wrong. If you suppress it with a paracetamol, it may come again and again. Unhealthy is not mana... |
