Well, we are 1,000 employees, but slowly I'm getting to remember more and more faces. |

New at my job, and my colleagues give me hell if I don't act like the most submissive puppy in the world. I pretend extreme submissiveness, but anyway it's never enough to them. The punishments when I stray a tiny bit from the utter submissiveness are not calling me when they go out for lunch, talki... |

"I can't remember anymore. They cease to matter once the person who said them is out of my life." This is exactly what I was thinking as I was going over the thread. But I couldn't have said it so well. I've been told many nice things by people who later on left me for being different, weird, a sham... |

To me, the bad part is not the loneliness but the having nobody to help me with anything ever. Eg: Work sends me abroad for 1 month. This means all my beloved plants will die, because I have nobody to ask to water them even once. |

In what kind of situations do you try to pass for NT, in what kind of situations (or with what people) don't you care? Do you live in an NT world and proud of your ability to fake it? Have you given up? Did you never try? Do you hold out for friends who will accept you as you are and are lonely in t... |

I once saw a movie where the main character had a human-size rag doll as her only friend. I'd love to have one, if only I could sew. |

I'd love to have a million pets. But I can't because:
a) I'm not able to establish myself as the alpha of the pack, which creates an impossible living together situation.
b) I have no friends or relatives I'm in touch with, so when I travel nobody would look after them. |

I think that's a wonderful idea. It's been kinda happening on its own lately, because I've had really good experiences on my own as opposed to the painful relationships with people I've always had. |

I find it hilarious when I tell people that I've tried everything I could think of and didn't succeed in making friends, and they advise me to call a friend so I'll feel better. |

Krex, thank you so much for sharing. I'd give anything to meet someone like-minded, but I haven't in many years. |

Maybe I'm a worst-case Aspie, but in my forties I have practically nobody. Relatives cut contact years ago on the grounds that I was different, weird, disrespectful of the pecking order. Friends came and went until the last round all went. I've gotten used to being always totally alone, and have com... |
