What exactly is the "mystery" of autism? Autism Speaks isn't really speaking about that, huh? I also noticed that Autism Speaks appears to be the only website the program directs its viewers to (though maybe by watching the whole program, we could find more?). I don't know if that's the best way to ... |

I wasn't homeschooled, but I know a bunch of people who were. One thing that helped them is that there is a network of parents who homeschool their children in my area, so all the kids grew up in the same homeschool community. All of them seemed to like homeschooling, and almost all of them started ... |

On average, 3-20 days or 200 hours playing it, usually whichever comes first. And then a few months later I'll go back to it. But I tend to play the really long games (like the Disgaea and MegaTen games) and sometimes (like with Pokemon) not even to win. I like exploring the extra content even more ... |

Psychiatry as a whole is pretty new. At least they don't just throw all the "different" people into an asylum. I'm at least grateful for that. |

What happened is just terrible, but that Larry guy sounds like a real jerk. It's no wonder someone did something. That said, the something he did was obviously not an appropriate response to what sounds like sexual harassment. I don't think the harassment should be enough to reduce the kid's sentenc... |

I have never had any interest in the furry fandom, though I am familiar with it through conventions and from listening to my furry friends talk about it. I've even seen fanfiction and webcomics with furry characters. It generally seems to have a lot of negative hype about it, though (especially on 4... |

What kind of specifications do you want on the computer? Do you need it to be fast? Will you want to play games on it? What about music or videos? Is a netbook or a tablet okay, or does it have to be a laptop? What about a desktop? There are so many things to consider other than brand when buying a ... |

Is this voice either distinctively autistic or neurotypical? I don't think it is possible to tell just from listening, but I'll note my observations. I wouldn't qualify the voice as autistic or neurotypical so much as deliberate and slightly "unnatural." And what I mean by that is that is sounds li... |

I decided to start a blog about my experience, but other than personal blogs (which were secure, friends-restricted, and filled with memes and quizzes), I'm pretty inexperienced at blogging. You can find my blog here if you're interested. I would appreciate input, especially from people on WP. My bl... |

I am asexual and in a happy heterosexual relationship! Which I guess is kind of weird, but it's with someone I really, really like and since he knows I'm asexual he goes out of his way to accommodate. But sometimes it has become kind of awkward for both of us when he makes a stray comment about a gu... |

I sing and play the piano, baritone horn, electric bass, upright bass, and snare drum/marimbas/other percussion instruments. I have previously studied (but am not very good at) the tuba, cello, violin, and the trombone. I am about to start learning the bassoon! I don't know why I feel that that isn'... |

Sounds like Schizoid, which precludes AS. There are some AS traits (e.g. love of history). There are some OCD traits (e.g. face washing, wearing 7 rings). The lengthy conversations with people who are not there is not typically seen in AS. The lack of patience with technology is not typically seen ... |

For me, being touched feels more like the NT sensation, except that if it's unexpected part of my brain automatically decides it's bad-intentioned. I'm also acutely aware of even touch that most people don't notice. For example, if someone brushes up against me, I can feel every single spot on my b... |
