Hello AlienSquid,
I got my diagnosis from my family doctor (GP) about a year ago and since the have spoken to a psychiatrist. Both seemed fascinated by me and not at all dismissive. I get the impression that they see AS as a advantage so I would hope your experience is similarly positive.
