I notice some people are saying things like: "Now Trump will have to appease the protesters marching around the country." And I'm wondering: What do they mean??? Didn't "their side" lose the election? Why would he see it necessary to "appease" a bunch of crying childre...

For us it was easy...we were in Love. We looked at our lifetime ahead of us and both agreed raising 2 children would make our marriage perfect. So after about 3 years of playing and fun (don't get me wrong....it was great) we "made the move." We didn't have many material possessions but ou...

If I see a man walking around with a gun I don't actually think "gee! there goes a good fellow" instead I call the police and get the crazy dude arrested Does this actually happen, or is this something you are imagining? In my experience, context is really important in the perception of p...

Very very tough I'm sure....the precious little flower.

Obviously breathing techniques and relaxation are better, but people with extreme anxiety can try something that works like magic for me - beta-blocker propranolol. It massively reduces all physical symptoms of anxiety, I sometimes have one if I'm supposed to be in a large group of people or before...

Often people talking to (with) you seek to communicate with facial expression, body language, etc., or so I've read. I don't do this but know it's true, even if the other person does so unconsciously. When I experience this I can see something going on but I'm mute in that it's impossible for me to ...

Just a couple of thoughts as I've had many years to think this over. If I did this now I'd not choose an area that has overwhelming winters. In this type of environment you have to spend the entire time keeping warm (OK not 100% of your time..but I just can't stand being cold anymore) which doesn't ...

Absurd. From where I live, at least 95% of males are circumcised (usually by ages of 8-15) and IS a social plus for males as if it's a rite of passage. Uncircumcised males are regarded to be impotent (not true), unmanly (lol what), or gay 'because he's much of a wuss to take any pain'. And in...

I really don't see how the removal of a piece of loose skin could affect the neurological structure of the brain. It's the pain. Many medical type people think it's OK to perform this procedure without anesthetic. This is barbaric....imagine them trying to do this to a mentating person. Can you ima...

Is that the same seminar mentioned in Dale Carnegie's book? Yes. Interesting, but talk about a fish out of water....Yikes! Almost painful to remember, even 35 years later. The person I worked for had some ideas about skills aquired through full immersion training (my term, not his) that were quite ...

I once attended a 13 session seminar to teach me how to make friends and influence people. There was one session devoted to calmness in your presentation. This was about 1/2 way through the seminar so we'd already practiced giving presentations before the rest of the group. During this session every...

I'm not sure if I should post here because of my differences. When only 19 I met (and married at age 20) a beautiful NT goddess...how this happened I'm not exactly sure, she said/says something about my good traits...I suggest everyone develop good traits. Moving along.....We decided we would have c...
